Bayern will be kicking themselves with the manner of that goal. They were level on aggregate with almost 40 minutes left - why were they left so exposed at the back?

David: the Bayern pressing philosophy even runs through to their ball boys, the speed at which they return the ball is remarkable.

Atletico win a free-kick on the left but Koke's ball in is easily dealt with. David Alaba then tees up Arturo Vidal to have a shot blocked at the other end.

Bayern are so fluid. It looks like they are playing with a back three most of the time, Alaba has a free role.

So Yannick Carrasco is wide left, Antoine Griezmann comes to the right with Fernando Torres through the middle for Atletico Madrid. An away goal changes everything. 

Back under way. 

Half-time change for Ateltico and it is an attacking one. On comes Yannick Carrasco, who plays wide in a front three, for Augusto Fernandez. 

I don't know if they can possibly change the way they play but if Atletico were able to come out for the second half and get an away goal, then Bayern would need to score three on the night to go through.

Here come the players. Thomas Muller is laughing his head off in the tunnel. No pressure?

tom constable: Really hoping Atletico go through. Great team, great manager, and were robbed two years ago in Lisbon against Real. 

You can't miss four penalties in one season. That is careless.

Someone open the gate....Atletico are being penned in their own half. Not one Los Rojiblancos player's average position is inside the Bayern half. Almost all of the Bayern team have been hanging around in Atletico territory...
