Stephen Shaw: Sergio Ramos' hairdresser should be arrested.
Real Madrid 1-0 Man City (1-0 agg)
Speaking of Sergio Ramos, where does this rank in football's worst haircuts? Got to be up there.
Real Madrid 1-0 Man City (1-0 agg)
Real Madrid have a free-kick now on the left, near the corner flag. Cristiano Ronaldo is over it and he flings in towards the near post. Sergio Ramos is the target but Joe Hart gets ahead of him to punch clear.

"When Real up the gears quickly like this they are hard to live with. But up until the goal City had dealt with them. They were so unlucky."

We can't show you a video replay of Gareth Bale's opener - but we've got the next best thing...
Our graphic shows the angle from which the Wales forward drilled in (with the aid of a deflection) after being allowed to wander onto Dani Carvajal's pass.
Real Madrid 1-0 Man City (1-0 agg)
As far as Manchester City are concerned, nothing has really changed. They had to score before the game to win in normal time, they still have to score now and one goal for them and no more for Real will take them through.
The problem is they are struggling to get the ball off Real Madrid at the moment as Cristiano Ronaldo drives over from the edge of the box from Isco's cutback.

Aaron Theaker: City without Kompany I honestly wouldn't bet against another Ronaldo hat-trick especially after the display against Southampton.
Christophe Talbotski: Uphill task, Champions League semi 2nd leg v Spanish favourites with the best player in the world, your top defender is off early. Chelsea 2012? 2-2

"There's a lot of good fortune about that goal. Clichy should have come out quicker to Bale, and I think it's Fernandinho who gets a boot on the finish. Joe Hart had no chance with a deflection like that. It went right in the top corner, off the post."
Gareth Bale
Cometh the hour, cometh the player. All the pre-match chat was about keeping Cristiano Ronaldo quiet but instead it is Gareth Bale who fires home the opener. He gets a bit of luck as it looks like his cross takes a deflection to lift the ball into the far corner, but it does the job. Real are ahead.
Real Madrid 0-0 Man City (0-0 agg)
The balance of play has definitely swung in Real Madrid's favour since Vincent Kompany went off and they come forward again as Gareth Bale clips the ball into the path of Dani Carvajal on the right but his cross is far too deep.

"Ronaldo jumped so early and hung in the air. That's Real Madrid upping the tempo. The first time their front three have moved around at pace.
"It's taken them about 15 minutes but the home side have finally come to life."
Real Madrid 0-0 Man City (0-0 agg)
First chance of the game as Dani Carvajal gets the ball on the right. He's in loads of space and up goes Cristiano Ronaldo's arm in the box. The forward makes a darting run and Carvajal crosses, but Ronaldo can't get his header on target.

"City have had the better start. Pressing Real high up the field, they're doing exactly the right thing. Apart from Kompany's injury, so far so good.
"Real looked very confident coming off the bus - they were already high-fiving one another in the warm-up - but they haven't got into their stride here yet. City have started brightly and the home side look nervous. The crowd are getting frustrated already."
Real Madrid 0-0 Man City (0-0 agg)
How will the loss of Vincent Kompany affect Manchester City mentally? They were looking good until his injury.

Colin: Well, that was inevitable.

Vincent Kompany is up but limping off. That's it. His game is over. On comes Eliaquim Mangala.

"It's not a re-occurrence of his calf let's hope. Something goes as Kompany plays the ball. He's had a lot of problems with his calf, maybe he's compensating and overworks his thigh? He's in that list of players you do not want to lose."
Real Madrid 0-0 Man City (0-0 agg)
Problem for Manchester City! Vincent Kompany is down on the ground and looks in huge pain. Replays show him grimacing after kicking the ball.
If he has to go off, this will be a huge blow for City
Real Madrid 0-0 Man City (0-0 agg)
Manchester City are seeing a decent amount of the ball now and are trying to get the ball to Sergio Aguero quickly. The striker receives one pass with his back to goal and tries to twist past Pepe, but Real Madrid sweep up.
Real Madrid 0-0 Man City (0-0 agg)
Great work by Isco as he charges forward and Real Madrid have an early corner. Easy pickings for Joe Hart, though.
