Each and everyone of the Republic players have done the country proud. The pressure told in the end. Antoine Griezmann was the star with two goals.

Darren Randolph is in tears. The Republic's West Ham keeper was outstanding today. He made nine saves. 

We were crying out for an early goal to open up these knockout games and here it was. Robbie Brady scored inside two minutes to give the Republic lift off.

Hugs and embraces everywhere in a largely jubilant Lyon. The Republic gave it their all but it wasn't to be in the end.

France had serious questions asked of them. But they answered them well.
