Well then! Let's not forget for all their dominance France only lead by one, and Ireland give them a scare when Jon Walters fires wide from 25 yards. Andre-Pierre Gignac then fluffs a shot wide. 

That's 19 efforts on goal for the French. 

You can't fault Ireland's display for guts and drive though. The second goal was bad defending and the red card ended the game to be honest.

A third goal for France looks like a matter of time now as first Blaise Matuidi stretches Darren Randolph with a cross.shot and then Antoine Griezmann is inches away from meeting a cross.

France just put Griezmann more central in the second half and my word it paid off..

France have had 72% of possession since half time. It was a blue storm that the Irish defence just couldn't weather.

France could add a few more yet though, the Irish look out on their feet. One pass slices through a tired defence and Andre-Pierre Gignac has a shot saved by Darren Randolph.
