Much better from England. They find Raheem Sterling on the right, he almost apologetically walks past his full-back but can't find any of the four white shirts in the box. There were four in there though.

Another sliding tackle, this one badly timed, and Oguzhan Ozyakup is in the book for chopping down Raheem Sterling.

"Harry Kane's not thinking about making an assist. Maybe he's a little bit selfish at times, but with his record, who can blame him?"

End-to-end, Roy Hodgson channeling Jurgen Klopp's rock n roll football. Ish.

Danny Rose is beaten by a lovely touch from Volkan Sen and needs to put in a great lunge to win it back, but then three touches later England have worked in Harry Kane down their own left wing. Kane cuts inside, he has options but shoots low and hard. At the keeper.

    *National stereotype alert*

The Turkey players like a tackle. I've seen more big sliding tackles in half an hour here than in a month of Premier League football. Apart from Chelsea v Spurs...

Eric Dier flicks a corner into the side-netting. There's goals in this England team...

Daniel Kay: Why are they playing Vardy on the wing? And why can't we defend?

Theo Bowyer: If England play with this open approach at the Euros it will be exciting if nothing else... Defensively we need to tighten up.

Jay: So England have won and lost the Euros in the space of 20 minutes of a friendly match?

A nice period of controlled play from England. Raheem Sterling comes in from the right, plays a one-two with Dele Alli - everything going through Alli - and he almost slips in Jamie Vardy coming off the left.

Roy gives it a big clap. Nice play.

Dele Alli reacts to a late challenge and triggers a few columns on his 'short fuse'. A competitor for sure. Jack Wilshere now seeing more of the ball and he sends a cross out of play when Harry Kane was in a good position.

"Better from Jack Wilshere. Going forward England have looked bright and sharp - Kane and Alli have been really good. But this isn't Vardy's position."

Volkan Sen is fine, the game gets going again. Jack Wilshere has had a very quiet opening quarter but he shows for the first time, drifting out to the right, then cutting in, dropping the shoulder and hitting a low shot which forces Volkan Babacan into a decent save.

    A very watchable affair!

Harry Kane now has five goals for England, by the way. That puts him level with the likes of Duncan Edwards, Stuart Pearce, Sir Trevor Brooking, Tony Adams and Sir Les Ferdinand.

A stoppage in play as Volkan Sen needs some treatment.

A foul in the technical area as Turkey boss Fatih Terim has his mobile confiscated! Apparently he was watching the game on it and arguing with officials about decisions. Most notably the dodgy offside call that allowed Harry Kane to put England ahead...

Neil Cheese: There is the answer as to why England won't win the Euros.

Andrew Murdy: May as well give the trophy back now.

Sam Gray: Our defence is incredibly shaky. Roy HAS to try something different with the back four.

England good going forwards, rough as a badger at the back. Nothing new there but it beats the sterile football of a few years ago. When it comes to watching, anyway. Danny Rose hacked down, another free-kick out wide.

"Did Hart need to go for that ball? He was a long way wide. He'll be disappointed when he sees it again but Danny Rose also gets caught too high up. The England defence is a problem. That's two big chances Turkey have made just by playing simple football. There were three or four errors in that goal, and that is the worry for the Euros."

    Hakan Calhanoglu

Joe Hart won't want to see that one again as Turkey score past England for the first time! Jamie Vardy is sucked in from his position on the left, a great ball sends Volkan Sen in behind and Hart charges out. He has to get the ball, he doesn't and Sen is able to pick out Hakan Calhanoglu in the middle for a tap-in.

The Tottenham trio of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Eric Dier are running the show so far. Alli is hacked down by Gokhan Gonul, free-kick out wide.

Kane lines it up. Low and hard, right across the goal!
