    England v Turkey (17:15 BST)

There is a very healthy 'away' end at the Etihad, a big section of red shirts supporting Turkey.

To recap, Turkey are in Group D at the Euros, they will face Spain, Croatia and the Czech Republic.

England, of course, have Russia, Wales and Slovakia.

If England were allowed to select ONE PLAYER from another European nation, who would you like to see picked?

Mike Johansson: I'd take Toni Kroos, seriously lacking a midfielder who can distribute the ball effectively and dictate the tempo of the game.

"We've already had 'Vindaloo' and 'World in Motion', now 'Three Lions' rings out around the stadium to get everyone in the mood. Quite a few fans are singing along too. No sign of Baddiel or Skinner though."

    And unknown knowns.

Roy Hodgson says that he is sure that Jack Wilshere will be ready to play for England in the Euros. If fit, he plays. That's the message.

"There are too many possibles and probables in this England side. You should know nine or 10 of your starting XI this close to a tournament, but I think there's only five or six Roy Hodgson's sure about."

It seems that we have all settled on the fact that England are playing 4-3-3 this afternoon, with Jamie Vardy on one side of Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling the other. Is that a waste of Vardy? #BringBack442

On current form - well, over the season - Wayne Rooney would be on the bench wouldn't he?

However, I don't believe for a minute that Roy Hodgson will actually do that...

  8. Vardy or Kane, Rooney or Alli?published at 16:57 British Summer Time 22 May 2016

    Danny Mills
Ex-England defender at the Etihad for BBC Radio 5 live

"Harry Kane is in exceptional form at the moment, and Vardy is too, but he can only play in one system. Vardy's very much an old-fashioned centre-forward who wants to run in behind, but Kane can come short, drop deeper, hold the ball up better, he brings others into the game better. He's also got a magnificent relationship with Dele Alli.

"I think Roy will go with one up front at the Euros. But will it be Wayne Rooney or Alli in behind?"

    England v Turkey (17:15 BST)

We haven't mentioned Turkey much in the build-up to this game - understandably, I hope - but there is no Arda Turan in their side this afternoon.

Keep an eye on the number five in midfield. Hakan Calhanoglu is a 22-year-old attacking midfielder who plays for Bayer Leverkusen and he has five goals in 16 games.

If England were allowed to select ONE PLAYER from another European nation, who would you like to see picked?

Toby MacCarthy: I'd go for Pogba. He's a loose cannon, but you can't doubt his quality in an area where England are weak.

If England were allowed to select ONE PLAYER from another European nation, who would you like to see picked?

Dom, Ellesmere Port: I'd have any captain out there that the players would follow to hell and back. Someone who could make the players play. Philipp Lahm would be a good example.

A change to the 'last-man' rule

I didn't realise this had been given the green light but we could see some changes in rules today! Exciting stuff - for some people.

This article lists them all but perhaps the key one is the change to the 'last man' rule.

A foul in the penalty area which denies a goalscoring opportunity is no longer an automatic red card offence. Goalkeepers look like coming out of that one well.
