England 0-0 Portugal
Scrappy, disjointed stuff so far. Dele Alli beats his man down the left but Wayne Rooney duffs the pass down the line. Nothing in the way of goalmouth action yet.
Bruno Alves sent off for wild tackle on Kane

England 0-0 Portugal
Good pressing from England as James Milner and Dele Alli win the ball back 40 yards from goal and toe it through, Jamie Vardy is in - but just offside.
This 4-3-3- shape for England does stop Portugal's full-backs from getting out.

"It's been slow and pedestrian, players are worried about picking up injuries. I expected it to be this type of send-off."

"Defensively, England seem to go 4-3-3, with Harry Kane on the right, Jamie Vardy on the left and Wayne Rooney in the middle. It is flexible in terms of the front three and what they do with them."

England 0-0 Portugal
This formation makes Dele Alli the new Paul Scholes. Stuck out on the left wing.
England 0-0 Portugal
More good work from Gary Cahill to sweep up the ball and start an attack down the right. Wayne Rooney is making it a flat front three at times, it's an exciting shape going forwards.
England 0-0 Portugal
Gary Cahill leaves a stud in on Rafa as Portugal make all of the early running. No Cristiano Ronaldo today of course.
England 0-0 Portugal
Under way at a very snazzy looking Wembley.

Roy Hodgson, speaking to ITV: "There is no reason why Rooney. Vardy and Kane shouldn't work. We have tried it in training and have every reason to believe we will have a good game tonight."
When asked if this was his starting XI for the Euro 2016 opener against Russia, Hodgson was bullish.
"I am not prepared to say that. We have a 23-man squad, everyone is working hard and competing for their place in the team. By the end of this game I will have all the information to pick a team against Russia."
