Another early exit for Wayne Rooney. Another shootout defeat for England.
Rooney was sent-off this time, for stamping on Ricardo Carvalho.
England toiled without him, it was a drab game. Cristiano Ronaldo scored the decisive spot kick. Jamie Carragher, Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard all missed.

Portugal 2-2 England [England lose on pens]
A stone-cold classic this one. Stop me when you've heard this one before...
England got off to a flier, with Michael Owen scoring after just two minutes. But then wunderkind Wayne Rooney was injured, and replaced by Darius Vassell.
Paul Scholes was replaced by Phil Neville. Portugal equalised. There were goals in extra-time, Frank Lampard scoring superbly, but it went to penalties.
David Beckham and Vassell missed. England were out.
England (2004): James; Neville, Campbell, Terry, Cole; Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes; Owen, Rooney
England v Portugal (19:45 BST)
Portugal make eight changes from the team which beat Norway at the weekend. Nani is captain!

England 2-3 Portugal
Ah, it was all going so well. For 17 minutes Kevin Keegan's England were looking like world beaters.
Portugal for some reason allow David Beckham the freedom of the wing to set up Paul Scholes' third-minute header and Steve McManaman's cushioned half-volley.
But then it all fell apart. It was 2-2 by half-time thanks to Luis Figo's outrageous strike, and Nuno Gomes had wrapped up the win by the hour.
That is some team by the way...
England XI (2000): Seaman; Neville, Adams, Campbell, Neville; Beckham, Ince, Scholes, McManaman; Owen, Shearer
England v Portugal (19:45 BST)
The Portugal squad is littered with familiar names

England's friendly with Portugal here at Wembley tonight is manager Roy Hodgson's last chance to see his players in match action before the Euro 2016 business begins against Russia in Marseille on 11 June.
Hodgson will be looking for solidity from that worrying England defence and some goals to send a big crowd home with optimism for the weeks ahead.
It is England's farewell before they depart for France so another major plus would be no fresh injury worries.
Your most painful moments
Portugal have poured on the pain for England in the last 15 years or so then - but they aren't the only team to drive England fans to tears.
It has been 50 years since the Three Lions lifted the World Cup. Fifty years and plenty of horrible moments to endure.
There's even an entire BBC iWonder guide on the subject. Fill your boots here.
But what are your own personal low points supporting England? They could be as generic - SHOOTOUTS - or as private - DUMPED ON THE SAME NIGHT? - as you like.
In terms of balance, if you want to nominate a personal highlight too feel free.

4-3-3? 4-4-2 diamond? 4-2-3-1? 4-2-4?
How will Roy set that XI up?
England v Portugal (19:45 BST)
Roy Hodgson has well and truly thrown caution to the wind. Dele Alli, Wayne Rooney, Jamie Vardy and Harry Kane all start. There are 10 changes from the side which beat Australia.
England: Hart: Walker, Smalling, Cahill, Rose; Dier, Milner, Alli: Rooney, Vardy, Kane
England v Portugal (19:45 BST)
Let's not beat about the bush, England have a dreadful recent record against Portugal.
They are without a win in seven meetings since Alan Shearer hit a brace in a 3-0 romp at Wembley back in 1998.
And a few of those games have been pretty significant...
England v Portugal (19:45 BST)
The good news for England - I guess? - is that Cristiano Ronaldo will not play tonight, having been granted time off after scoring the winning spot-kick in Real Madrid's penalty shootout win over Atletico Madrid in last Saturday's Champions League final.
Portugal beat Norway in a friendly in Porto on Sunday without Ronaldo, and coach Fernando Santos has expressed his frustration at being repeatedly asked about the forward.
"I don't understand why we always have to talk about Ronaldo," said Santos.
"I'm not in the least bit worried about him. He'll be here next week with the goal of helping Portugal have a great Euro 2016. The rest is just journalist talk."
Portugal start their Euro 2016 campaign against Iceland on 14 June. Austria and Hungary also feature in Group F.
England v Portugal (19:45 BST)
Ninety minutes away from the Euros.
Time to impress, but not overdo it. A chance to tinker, but not confuse.
Elaborate. Don't over elaborate.
Revolve, not evolve. Sorry, evolve, not revolve...
It's England's final friendly before Roy Hodgson and his men jet off to France. Don't get injured, and put in an impressive performance.
All set?
