Sunderland v Middlesbrough (13:30 BST)
Good work up front on your own there, Emlyn.
It looked at one point last season that there would be no North East representatives in the Premier League.
Sunderland were struggling in the top flight, while Middlesbrough were making hard work of their promotion chase.
In the end, it was Newcastle who took the fall, ending up in the Championship following a dismal campaign.
Today, Aitor Karanka takes his Boro side - unbeaten in their past 11 league games - up the A19 to face rivals Sunderland.
And with that round-up of yesterday's action, I'm going to hand you over to Shamoon Hafez, who will be building up to Sunderland v Middlesbrough, which begins in just over an hour.
Team news is imminent.
Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo played the full 90 minutes yesterday in the 6-2 win over Real Betis.
After the game, his club revealed they "have the beginning of an agreement" over the 33-year-old's transfer to Manchester City.
Brazil 1-1 Germany (5-4 pens)
A couple of hours after his club side thrashed Real Betis, Neymar won the Olympics for Brazil with the winning penalty in the shootout against Germany.
The captain had opened the scoring with a free-kick before Max Meyer's equaliser.
Barcelona 6-2 Real Betis
Luis Suarez took his Barcelona scoring form to 17 goals in six La Liga games (that is not a typo) last night.
He scored a hat-trick, with Lionel Messi scoring twice, as they thrashed Gus Poyet's Real Betis 6-2.
Arda Turan - playing up front with Neymar at the Olympics - scored the other goal.

Tom Browning: Steve Marlet has to be up there with the worst, never worth £11m!
Sean Wilkinson: Bruno Cheyrou aka the new Zidane & Anthony le Tallec for Liverpool. Only remember them for the hype which they never lived up to.
Ian Shepherd: Pascal Cygan at Arsenal. Was always a worry whenever he was near the ball... awful player imo.

West Brom 1-2 Everton
Everton boss Ronald Koeman confirmed that striker Romelu Lukaku will stay at the club "for at least one more season".
Reports had suggested that the 23-year-old was set to leave Goodison Park, with former club Chelsea said to be interested in signing the Belgium international.
"It's great news for everybody," said Koeman after the 2-1 win at West Brom, during which Lukaku came on as a first-half substitute.
Asked if he might be offered a new deal, Koeman said: "That's possible."
West Brom 1-2 Everton
Gareth Barry's close-range header secured Ronald Koeman's first victory as Everton manager as they came from a goal down to win at West Brom.
Gareth McAuley headed the Baggies ahead but Kevin Mirallas rolled in an equaliser before Barry's winner.
Watford 1-2 Chelsea
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte got the better of his old Serie A foe Walter Mazzarri in the Blues' game with Watford.
With the Hornets 1-0 up, Conte brought on £33m summer signing Michy Batshuayi, who scored an equaliser and then caused the hosts lots of problems.
Diego Costa, who should have been shown a second yellow card for a dive, scored a late winner for the second week in a row.
Conte said: "If every game people find something on Diego it is no good for Chelsea, for Diego, it's better to focus on the game and the match.

Chris Parker: I used to love watching Youri Djorkaeff so to see him grace the Premier League was an absolute delight. Cheers Big Sam
Tim Such: Best Frenchman: Sylvain Distin. Was awesome for us in our first season in the Premier League.
Kevin Logan: Bruno Cheyrou was obviously the greatest Frenchman to grace English football! (No sarcasm at all)
DaMarcus: Best: Henry, Pires, Vieira. Worst: William Prunier, Bernard Diomede, Steve Marlet.

Stoke 1-4 Man City
Sergio Aguero brought his tally for the season up to six goals in three games with a double at Stoke yesterday.
After he had missed two penalties at Steaua Bucharest during the week (as well as scoring a hat-trick), Pep Guardiola said he was still confident in Aguero's penalty taking, so long as the Argentine still had faith in himself.
And their joint confidence was repaid when he fired home the opener at the Bet365 Stadium from the spot.
Nolito also notched twice.
"I realise how good the players are, I am a lucky guy because the quality of the players here is amazing," Guardiola - who has managed Barcelona and Bayern Munich - said.
Spurs 1-0 Crystal Palace
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino thinks the win over Palace, which followed the opening draw with Everton, has helped them get over the late-season collapse which cost them a shot at last season's title.
"I think it's very important to recover this feeling because the end of last season was hard.
"Today was good to forget last season and to look forward. This is a different season. I'm very happy now with the performance of all the squad, all the players."

Quite a contrast here on your thoughts on French imports to the Premier League.
Andy Gee: worst has to be Gerald Cid at Bolton. 7 matches, and according to Wikipedia he earned the moniker the "hapless Gerald Cid".
The Patriot: The two best without a doubt have to do be Cantona and Henry.
Guy Devine: Loic Remy for the worst I say!

Loic Remy as the worst French Premier League player ever?!
Spurs 1-0 Crystal Palace
Spurs beat Crystal Palace 1-0, with Victor Wanyama heading home the only goal - his first strike for the club.
Palace signed £27m striker Christian Benteke before the game but he wasn't signed in time to play.
As well the duel in the North East between Sunderland and Middlesbrough (13:30 BST), which we will start building up to soon, it's also derby day in East Anglia.
Ipswich take on Norwich at Portman Road in the Championship (12:00 BST).
The fixture is back on after a year's absence while Norwich played in the Premier League.
And Ipswich will be out for revenge after the last meeting between the two ended in play-off victory for the Canaries en route to the top flight in May 2015.
In regular Championship fixtures against their local rivals, Ipswich have lost the last two at home so Mick McCarthy's men will be keen to improve that record and hand Norwich a first defeat of the season.
Live text build-up of that game has just begun.
Back in the Premier League, West Ham play their first domestic fixture at their new London Stadium home when they take on Bournemouth (16:00 BST).
Both sides lost their opening league game and a repeat of the seven-goal thriller they served up last August - Bournemouth winning 4-3 - wouldn't go amiss.

We asked you to choose the best and worst French players to 'grace' the Premier League before tonight's Match of the Day 2 feature on the subject.
And Newcastle fan Nathan Clarke was quick off the mark.
The Toon have concentrated heavily on the French market in recent seasons and it's fair to say they've had mixed results.
Nathan Clarke: Stephane Guivarch and Emmanuel Riviere were truly dreadful! Sylvain Marveux wasn't much better either.

Leicester 0-0 Arsenal
Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at King Power Stadium
Arsene Wenger was urged, loudly and in very industrial terms, to start spending some money.
Arsenal's fans have a valid point when they question why Wenger has not beefed up his squad more, certainly with more than the £35m acquisition of midfielder Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Wenger is hoping to complete a £25m deal for Valencia's German central defender Shkodran Mustafi but there is also a need for further class in attack to augment, and perhaps replace, Olivier Giroud.
This is a defining season for Wenger so it could be said he faces a defining few days in the transfer market.
Arsenal's fans certainly know it. Wenger must surely know it too as he listened to those angry voices in the travelling support tucked away in a corner of the King Power Stadium.
(where have we heard this before?)
It wouldn't be a Premier League season of the past decade without this story...
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is willing to spend big money - but won't do it for the sake of it - after coming under fire from supporters during and after the goalless draw at Leicester City.
"If we find the right player we will not be reluctant to spend big. If I just bought someone for £45m will I have done well?
"I do not understand why people say I am reluctant.
"Spending the money itself is not a quality. Spending it to buy the right, top-quality player is the quality."

Paul Pogba made his first Manchester United start in Friday's 2-0 win over Southampton.
Tonight on Match of the Day 2, they're going to be looking at the best and worst French players to 'grace' the Premier League.
So we want to know who you think are the best and worst. And don't all just say William Prunier...
