Saido Berahino finds himself swimming in a sea of red when he gets the ball inside the Middlesbrough box as he closed down by a swarm of defenders. 

The visitors then break quickly up the other end to win a corner, from which there is a mighty scramble in the box, before Cristhian Stuani manages to poke a shot at goal, but Ben Foster is behind it.

Antonio Barragan gives away a free-kick and he ain't happy, running to the linesman and protesting the decision. He's shown a yellow as a result. Craig Gardner pings in the free-kick, but Middlesbrough clear.

West Brom's set pieces have been poor today.

With 17 minutes left, Middlesbrough register their first shot on target as Antonio Barragan skips past several chances just inside the area before threading a pass to Cristhian Stuani, who bends a shot goalwards but Ben Foster is behind it. The West Brom keeper needs two bites of the cherry, though, having spilled his initial save. Probably taken by surprise at having to do something, to be fair.

Eventually, Saido Berahino comes on, but it is sadly Jonathan Leko who has to make way. He's done some damage to his leg after challenging for his first touch and can't continue.

A mixture of boos and claps as Berahino comes on. Could this be his last appearance in a West Brom shirt?

Given the lack of chances from open play, West Brom have to make the most of their set pieces. Sadly, they don't as Jonny Evans floats a ball into the box and Antonio Barragan hacks clear.

The Middlesbrough heatmap makes it look like the players are physically repelled by the West Brom area. They've barely stepped a foot inside it.

Tim Sherwood: West Brom under Steve Clarke were an exciting team to watch with good prospects. Then Tony Pulis came and we get this travesty.
