He's brought Zlatan and Pogba in, they are all six foot plus and it will be interesting to see them against the small lads of City. It’ll be fascinating to see how Jose goes today against Pep.

I'm a huge fan of Marcus Rashford. He gets all around the pitch, his link-up play is superb and he's fearless. I expected him to play today and I'm surprised he's on the bench - I feel a bit sorry for the lad.

You are going to see a game between the purist, and the one who is the pragmatist.

At Barcelona Pep Guardiola inherited a great team from Frank Rijkaard, but he made it better. At Bayern they always won the championship, and his mission was to win the Champions League.

    He couldn't do that.

Mourinho is more calculated. His assignment at Chelsea last time was to play more attractive football and for half a season he managed that. After Christmas when the prizes were in sight he closed it down.

Whoever wins on Saturday, it does not mean they will win the title. But it is the first jab.

From every coach I had I picked up something, I would love to take two weeks in training with both managers, Mourinho and Guardiola, and see what they are doing.

In the Netherlands it is very popular to follow Barcelona so when I said I like 90% of what Jose Mourinho does it was not popular!

You have to be pragmatic to win. It is not always about playing the beautiful game. After a while I get bored of seeing Barcelona win 5-0 every week. I like to see a team outsmart them. And that is what Jose Mourinho can do.

One the of the first impressions watching Manchester United as they warm up here at Old Trafford is just how much more physically imposing they look under Jose Mourinho this season with the addition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly.

Mourinho is a firm advocate of power as well as technique - and they fit the bill.

We asked supporters of Premier League and Scottish Premiership clubs to use BBC Sport's team selector to tell us whether they were satisfied with their squad, via a simple tick or cross for each position.

    The results are in.

Both Manchester clubs were amongst the happiest with their teams. Their only concerns were at full-back.

Only 57% of United fans felt happy with the options at right-back, contrasting with 95% satisfied with left-back. At City, only 62% were happy with their right-back and 58% with left-back.

Saturday's Manchester derby will not define the season for United or City but it is a chance for both teams, and their managers, to show why they are a force to be reckoned with.

It is already clear these two sides will be in the mix for the title and both will want to make a statement of intent.

What adds even more spice to the occasion is that Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola both go into their much-anticipated first meeting in English football with 100% records after winning their first three league games.

    Chris Waddle

There is a lot of talent on show. I'm expecting City to dominate possession and United will be forced to take risks. They'll play on the counter-attack and will be dangerous from set-pieces.

It is important to win the first big game as a manager. It gives you belief and it also sends out a message to the opponents.

In one city you have the two best coaches in the world. It doesn't happen a lot. Let's embrace it - the whole world is watching.

    It is a massive game.
