Heurelho Gomes is earning is weekly pay packet at the moment. Another strong punch averts any danger.

That was a world class save! The power in that header, and it was a beautiful ball in to him, but that was a wonderful save from Gomes.

But whenever Watford send a long ball down the middle, how much panic that causes in the United defence.

If it wasn't the shovel-sized right hand of Heurelho Gomes, Manchester United would be ahead. 

Marouane Fellaini floats a cross-field pass to the far post where Zlatan Ibrahimovic climbs above the Watford defence to attack the ball with his head. Watford keeper Gomes instinctively dives to his right to push clear. Stunning save. 

Andy White: Pogba showing both sides to his game, petulance and a lack of control. £89 million pounds does not look like money well spent. 

Dan Reuben: Not doubting Ibra's finishing ability but on the counter he often seems to slow United down 

Rich: Wayne Rooney is quite simply inconsistent, over-rated and the heart of what is wrong with United & England. When he has a bad game he is described as being 'off-colour'. I have not seen him 'on-colour' for 3 years.

Nope. Zlatan might be eyeing it up, but he can't beat the three-man wall of yellow stood in front of him. Watford partially clear to Marouane Fellaini, but his low shot is gathered easily by Heurelho Gomes.

Moments after Paul Pogba sees yellow for pushing Valon Behrami, Manchester United go back on the offensive. Free-kick on the left, 25 yards out, Zlatan is eyeing it up...

I was just going to moan about Paul Pogba's abysmal tackling again - then remembered that wonderful sliding tackle on Darryl Janmaat earlier. But what prompted the moan is another clumsy trip by the £89m man near the away byeline. 

Jose Holebas fires in a flat cross, but a combination of Luke Shaw and David de Gea manage to clear the ball. Not much communication from the Spaniard though, and not for the first time today.

United are looking sharper now, Ibrahimovic in particular, and it was unusual for Mourinho to turn to Mata but this is a whole lot better from United. Watford are not in any real hurry when they get the ball.

Vicarage Road has turned into a one-way street. And Manchester United are driving the car. Wayne Rooney is heavily involved as the visitors put their foot on the gas. Just lacking that final ball at the moment though.

Have Watford got an instant response in their locker? Nope. Etienne Capoue's free-kick is headed out of the Manchester United area, only as far as Jose Holebas who shoots wide.

Crystal Palace make one change to the XI that started last Saturday's 2-1 win over Middlesbrough. James Tomkins comes in for Damien Delaney in defence as the Eagles look to secure their first home league win of the season.

Stoke City make two changes to the team hammered 4-0 at home by Tottenham last week. There's a first start since February for right-back Glen Johnson and attacking midfielder Bojan comes in in place of Gianelli Imbula. The Potters are one of three teams in the Premier League still yet to register a win this campaign.

Ibrahimovic plays a great one-two, he dinked it to the far post, and you think the chance has gone but the ball comes to Rashford and he smashes it in. Natural instinct, he was the only one on the move in that box.

Here's that Manchester United change. Juan Mata on for Antonio Valencia. Will that bring an equaliser?

Oh dear. Wayne Rooney pops up on the right flank, then shanks his cross out for a goal kick. The home fans loved that.

Manchester United enjoying plenty of possession, but they are struggling to penetrate the Watford defence. All very comfortable for the home side.
