    Crystal Palace 2-0 Stoke

A standing ovation from the Selhurst Park crowd for their injured full-back Pape Souare.

The Senegal international, 26, will be out for up to six months after breaking his thighbone in a car crash.

And the moment almost coincides with Andros Townsend's cheeky free-kick, which Stoke keeper Shay Given has to be alert to stop sneaking inside his near post.

I thought Wilfried Bony would be a good signing for Stoke. He still might be. But his first 110 minutes in a Potters shirt have been dreadful - and not his fault. The bulky Ivorian tries to go alone as he charges towards the Palace goal, but drags his effort wide. That's about as good as it has got for Stoke.

  3. 'I'm not surprised with how well we played'published at 14:35 British Summer Time 18 September 2016

    Watford 3-1 Man Utd

Watford captain Troy Deeney speaking to BT Sport: "It is nice for us to get back-to-back wins. We have had the toughest start of any club. To come out with seven points is massive for a club like us.

"I am not surprised by how we played. We should take a bit more credit, we pressed well, condensed the space and were tough in the tackle. We need to be against teams like Manchester United who have high quality players and spend a lot of money.

"We have some really good quality players and men in there, which is the hardest part, I thought we were the better side and had a lot of chances, even when they scored we showed what we are made of and came again."

Garry: Stoke are going down. Worst team in the league and then some.

Matt Price: Somehow I don't think Stoke will be staying up this season. they're too far down the goal-difference table as well as winless

Noel Fitzpatrick: Would Stoke and West Brom do a transfer, Pulis for Hughes?

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Southampton are not quite hammering on the Swansea door, more a tentative knock. The sort when you don't really what the person to hear and answer.

Shane Long whips in a cross from the left flank, but skipper Steven Davis can't twist his torso enough to get his header on target.

    Southampton 0-0 Swansea

Southampton striker Shane Long tries to curl in a low shot from the edge of the area and Swans keeper Lukasz Fabianski can only parry his effort. Dusan Tadic and Steven Davis get in a muddle as they fail to put in the rebound. They were offside but it was a comedy moment as they got in each other's way. Saints just about on top with 15 minutes on the clock.

    Scott Dann (11 mins)

Another Palace set-piece, another goal. And it is another defender who does the damage. Jason Puncheon knocks in a right-wing corner and Scott Dann meets the ball with a thumping header. What happened to Stoke being hard to beat in the air??

    James Tomkins (9 mins)

Here's one for the dubious goals panel. And Stoke forward Jon Walters sure won't want to be claiming it. Anyway, one thing is for certain...Crystal Palace are ahead.

Andros Townsend dinks in a floated free-kick to the far post where Palace defender James Tomkins and Jon Walters both compete for the ball. Tomkins reckons it is his and he is awarded the goal. I'm not sure.

For all their early possession, Southampton don't have the first shot on goal. Swansea full-back Kyle Naughton cuts inside and has a pop, but Fraser Forster scoops up the ball.

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Stoke

Stoke's confidence doesn't seem to have taken a knock, despite their winless start to the Premier League season. The Potters almost have a glimpse of the Palace goal, Bruno Indi Martins' slick pass to Jon Walters carving open the home defence. But Walters goes a fraction too early. Offside.

Come on lads, let Swansea have a touch. Southampton are hogging possession in the opening few minutes, the visitors have barely had a kick. It is all in midfield though, no attempts at goal yet by Saints.
