    Dwight Gayle

Newcastle have their first league goal back in the Championship, but it doesn't come without a touch of drama!

After a Mark Hudson handball in the box, Dwight Gayle's penalty is saved but he is there fastest to head in the rebound. Relief roars around St James' Park!

    Leeds 1-2 Birmingham

Birmingham captain Michael Morrison has put them back in front at Leeds, lashing in from close range, and it is arguably a deserved 2-1 advantage, on the balance of play so far.

    Can Garry Monk's men respond?

Whatever your personal opinion of Newcastle United, you can't deny, that is a superb attendance for a second-tier game!

The home fans are watching their side lose at the moment, though.

In League Two Mansfield have broken the deadlock at home to newly-promoted Cheltenham early in the second half.

Mitch Rose fired them ahead and they're sitting pretty in second place at the moment.

Elsewhere, Doncaster have grabbed an equaliser against Crawley courtesy of James Coppinger.

The Blues go close to re-taking the lead at Elland Road but Stephen Gleeson's low drive goes just wide.

Straight after the break, Barnsley and Wolves have both extended their leads against Derby and Reading respectively.

Derby are actually yet to have a shot on target. The Rams don't seem themselves this afternoon.

    Newcastle 0-0 Huddersfield

It's all Newcastle at St James' Park but they are struggling to find the final ball and break the Terriers' defence down.

Meanwhile, Matt Doherty has put Wolves up against Preston, while Maikel Kieftenbeld has gone close to restoring Birmingham's lead at Elland Road, where it remains 1-1.

    Wigan 2-0 Blackburn

Wigan have had 11 shots to Blackburn's one... I'd say the scoreline is a fair reflection of their dominance so far.

  18. Goals galorepublished at 15:40 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

    Milton Keynes Dons 2-2 Millwall

There's a cracking game going on at Stadium MK, where we've had four goals in nine minutes.

Tony Craig and David Worrall put Millwall 2-0 up but the Dons have pulled it back through two goals from new signing Kieran Agard.

He's certainly earning his worth after joining from Bristol City for a club-record transfer fee.

Josh Brownhill has come to the rescue of Bristol City, clearing the ball off the line to end what was momentarily a pretty hairy situation in his side's six yard box.

Meanwhile, Wigan are 2-0 up over Blackburn thanks to Nick Powell's free-kick and Fulham have taken the lead at Preston.

Our highest scoring game so far in League Two is at Meadow Lane, where Jon Stead has equalised for Notts County against Stevenage.

Blackpool have taken the lead away at Morecambe and could be on their way to their third straight win.

Crawley are one up against Doncaster and top of the table, while Luton have gone ahead at home to Yeovil.
