At the Pirelli Stadium, things are fairly even but Lee Tomlin has seen a long-range curling effort for the visitors saved.

At Elland Road, Leeds have drawn level against Birmingham through Hadi Sacko.

I'm glad that Rudy Gestede's got a goal. Aston Villa need to get back to basics - they need to realise that, if they get the ball in the box, they have someone who'll score goals for them.

Newly-promoted AFC Wimbledon have got the first goal of the game against Bolton. And, after another tough week at The Valley, the misery continues for Charlton... Alex Revell is their nemesis this time as he puts Northampton 1-0 up.

Chesterfield have also grabbed a goal against Swindon, and at last things are beginning to liven up in League One!

For the first time in what seems like a very, very, very long time, Aston Villa fans are smiling!

Former Blackburn striker Rudy Gestede heads in from Aly Cissokho's ball to put the hosts in front.

    Aston Villa 0-0 Rotherham

Still no goals at Villa Park, but Jack Grealish seems to be in the mood today.

If he can turn on the style this season, he could be a very important player for Villa.

  6. ... A similar story in League Twopublished at 15:19 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

And in League Two it's a very similar picture.

Colchester are ahead against Cambridge thanks to Brennan Dickenson, while Stevenage lead Notts County courtesy of Ben Kennedy.

    Newcastle 0-0 Huddersfield

Rafa Benitez's side are most certainly on top so far, but Issac Hayden has headed over the bar. Can they break the deadlock?

Meanwhile, moments after I said Leeds were on top, it's Birmingham who have scored first at Elland Road thanks to Jacques Maghoma's counter attacking goal - against the run of play. He scored for the Blues on the same ground last season too.

  8. Will Grigg's on firepublished at 15:18 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

    Wigan 1-0 Blackburn

It was going to happen sooner or later, wasn't it?

Will Grigg has his first league goal of the season - against Blackburn Rovers, thrashed by Norwich City at Ewood Park this time last week.

  9. A quiet start in League Onepublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 13 August 2016

Just two goals so far this afternoon, Gillingham's Ryan Jackson puts his team ahead against Bury and Bradford lead Peterborough courtesy of Jordy Hiwula-Mayifuila's goal.

More action to come, we hope.

    Barnsley 1-0 Derby

We have the first goal in our nine Championship games, as Barnsley take the lead against Derby County thanks a Scott Carson own goal.

That will delight the Tykes fans, against a side who many are tipping for promotion this season.

Meanwhile, Leeds and Birmingham is still goalless but the Whites are very much on top.

    Wycombe v Grimsby (15:00 BST)

I'm not sure these goalkeepers will thank Wycombe's social media team for sharing their ages, but you have to say, that's quite an experienced pair at Adams Park today!
