  1. Post-match reaction: 'It can be a cruel game'published at 18:33 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

    FT: Blackburn 2-2 Burton

The pressure already appears to be on new boss Owen Coyle just four games in, with this their only point of the campaign after conceding a last minute goal.

Blackburn manager Owen Coyle: "I thought, over the course of the game, having got ourselves ahead twice in the game, we could have seen it out and got the three points we were worthy of.

"We all know it can be a cruel game but, having said that, there were a lot of positives we can take from the game - not least the performance of young Scott Wharton at the back on his debut. When you don't get that two-goal cushion, there is that bit of nervousness and edginess, particularly late on in the game, and I think that is what happened today."

You might think a manager would be ecstatic at a last minute winner, but not at Forest.

Nottingham Forest boss Phillipe Montanier: "We left it too open for Wigan to come back three times. I can accept that happening once.

"But to repeat it again and again, we will give ourselves more problems in the future if we do that. We cannot take so many risks. We need to find the right mentality. I enjoy the spirit of the team and we showed our character to win. But there needs to be a balance. We have to learn quickly, because I cannot accept this."

  4. 'We looked second best'published at 18:26 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

After winning their opening two games of the season with two clean sheets, it's back to back losses for QPR.

QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink: "We looked second best and couldn't get going. We looked like we had 24 hours less to recover.

"As as a group, we expected more and wanted more but couldn't deliver. We didn't look like us. Individual errors cost us. Today we didn't have the concentration and the calmness to pass the ball, and I don't know why."

  5. 'The critics have been answered'published at 18:23 British Summer Time 20 August 2016

Preston had lost all three Championship games before their impressive win at QPR today.

Preston boss Simon Grayson: "We've answered one or two critics from during the last few weeks.

"That will keep a few people quiet for a while. People do tend to get a bit jittery when you lose the first three games. The critics have been answered."

"You can hear a bit of booing from the Derby fans. It's been too easy for Villa, it's about tempo and endeavour. At the moment we're too deep as a unit and worried about what Villa are doing. They've got a cigar on at the moment, it's too easy for them."

That's the post and the crossbar that Villa have hit. Surely they are going to score. They are looking quite strong.

Derby full-back Craig Forsyth scored his first goal since December 2014 on Tuesday and almost had his second in as many games in bizarre circumstances when his overhit cross almost finds its way in.

Jack Grealish then goes down the other end, weaves around a few Rams defender to get space, but fires straight at Scott Carson.

    Derby 0-0 Aston Villa

Derby's opening stages have been summed up by Craig Forsyth's free-kick.

He punts it forward in the general direction of Jason Shackell, but it's way too long for everyone and goes out for a goal-kick. Nigel Pearson won't be happy with that.
