Steaua can't get the ball off Manchester City as the hosts close out this game in dominant fashion. They almost add a second as Yaya Toure pings in a fine ball for Fernandinho, whose just beaten to it by a defender.

There's a quick Manchester City counter now as the ball is worked to Jesus Navas on the right side of the Steaua box. He spots Fabian Delph's run into the box and tries to find him but a defender cuts the pass out.

Delph's been pretty good in this half. Both he and Aleksander Kolorov have been the standout players for me.

It's been a horrible night for Ajax, 4-0 down in Russia and out of the Champions League. Get your atlases out and stick a big red pin in Rostov-on-Don. They will host Champions League football this season. 

Into the final 10 minutes and Steaua have a free-kick on the right. Chance to get a goal in this tie and Nicolae Stanciu whips the ball in at pace. Fernandinho heads clear, but only to Jugurtha Hamroun, whose volley goes wide.

There's a brief concerning moment as Kelechi Iheanacho goes down injured. Steaua's Bogdan Mitrea looks very concerned and is quick to call over medical staff before going to Iheanacho's aid. Fortunately it looks to be nothing too serious, although a stretcher is brought on to take him off and Fernandinho comes on to replace him.

Joe Hart then blocks Alexandru Tudorie's close-range shot. Busy spell for the Manchester City keeper, although nothing too taxing.

Hart's not had much to do, but what he has he's done well.  There'll be a few more managers picking up the phone to give City a call after this game.

Applause again as Joe Hart makes his first save of the game, getting behind a straightforward shot from distance.

There's a break in play as a Steaua player receives treatment and the home fans take that as an opportunity to once again show Joe Hart their appreciation. "Stand up if you love Joe Hart" is the chant, which is accompanied by huge applause. Hart tries (terribly) to hold back a smile. Pep Guardiola doesn't look best pleased.

For an hour this game had about as fast-paced as I do at 6am before I've had a coffee. Fortunately, Fabian Delph's goal has upped the tempo a bit now and there is a bit more zip about their play now.

Seany Sean: Anyone telling Pep this is a vintage Man City performance tonight is off their Rioja... Steaua grapes more like!

Final change for the visitors as Muniru Sulley is replaced by Vlad Achim. A midfielder for a midfielder.

Pep Guardiola responds to that goal with a couple of changes. Tosin Adarabioyo comes into the centre of defence in the place of John Stones, who receives a bit more feedback from Pep. Jose Tasende is also on for Fernando.

Best chance of the game as Fabian Delph makes a decent forward run to pick up a ball into the box, but his shot is saved.

The visitors make the game's first change, and it is an attack-minded change. They bring on Nicolae Stanciu, who has four goals in seven appearances so far this season, for Adnan Aganovic while Ovidiu Popescu is replaced by Adrian Popa.
