Good chance for Manchester City as Jesus Navas lifts the ball into the middle of the box for Nolito from the right. Nolito arcs his body to hit a volley goalwards, but Valentin Cojocaru is right behind it.

Apparently some fans have had a crack at chanting "don't sell Joe Hart, super Joey Hart, I just don't think you understand."  That's a new slant on the play on the word heart.

We had a big cheer a few moments ago. The ball was played back by Aleksandar Kolarov to Joe Hart and what did the keeper do? He played it straight back with his feet to Kolarov. A little bit of irony there.

There might not be much in the way of a contest in this game but it is interesting to see how Pep Guardiola operates. He calls over Pablo Maffeo during a break in play to give some instructions, and then does likewise with John Stones soon after.

A long ball forward leaves Manchester City with some unexpected defending to do as Gael Clichy tries to hold off Alexandru Tudorie. Clichy plays the ball back to Joe Hart, who calmly plays the ball short to Aleksander Kolarov dfespite Tudorie attempting to charge him down. Hart showing the boss he can do the business with his feet?

Just the one goal in the Champions League so far tonight, where Thorgan Hazard has put Borussia Monchengladbach ahead against Young Boys. That's 4-1 on aggregate to the German side, much to his brother's delight. 

Steaua are playing very deep. Every player is back in their own half at the moment. Strange tactic. You may as well go for it and see what happens. Nothing to lose, surely?

Another chance for Manchester City. This time it is from a free-kick, just outside the box - Yaya Toure territory. The midfielder takes it, whipping it around the wall and towards the near post, but it hits the sidenetting.

Kelechi Iheanacho is in the Sergio Aguero role tonight. Big boots to fill after the Argentine scored a hat-trick in the first leg and the youngster has the game's first shot, but it is straight at the keeper.

Clearly seeing Pep Guardiola's influence on this Manchester City side in the early stages. There may be no need for them to show much urgency given the aggregate scoreline, but they are pressing Steaua high up the field. 

Another touch for Joe Hart and another huge cheer.

Plenty of support for Joe Hart in the stands. His time might well be coming to an end at the club, but he's clearly loved by the Manchester City fans.

Hart has been given the captain's armband, and there's a big cheer when his name is read out over the speakers.

I've just seen shots of Pablo Maffeo in the tunnel stood behind Joe Hart as the players prepare to come out. It's actually the first time I've seen him and I thought he was a mascot at first! He looked tiny, but then he was next to Hart.
