  5. Town's Swedish secret to success?published at 14:45 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

So what's been behind Huddersfield's brilliant early form this year?

Hard work and shrewd signings have no doubt played their part, but perhaps David Wagner's unusual approach to preseason preparations have been the real secret to their success.

I don't want to give too much away, but the video below is well worth 42 seconds of your time.

Who will be the EFL's first managerial casualty?

    Owen CoyleImage source, Getty Images

That brings us very nicely to my question for you today - who is going to be the first managerial casualty of the season in the English Football League?

We know it's early, but by this time last year two managers had already lost their jobs in the EFL, and four more had been given their P45s by the end of September.

Could Owen Coyle be on his way out of the door at Blackburn? Will Shaun Derry pay the price at League Two's bottom club, Cambridge? A shock dismissal elsewhere perhaps?

Whether you want to see your club make a change or just see the vultures circling elsewhere, send your predictions in using #bbcefl.

  7. Terriers hope to heap misery on rivalspublished at 14:36 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Leeds v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

A little under 10 months ago, David Wagner was appointed head coach of a Huddersfield team on a three-match winless run which had left them 18th in the table.

Now, the Terriers are flying high at the top of the Championship, having won four and drawn one of their first five games this season.

Today they face local rivals Leeds United, who are one place above the relegation zone with just four points to show for their efforts so far.

Head coach Garry Monk was reported to be in danger of losing his job, external in August, just two months after taking charge at Elland Road. What could a loss today mean for his future at the club?

  8. Rovers target huge upsetpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    QPR v Blackburn (15:00 BST)

Queens Park RangersImage source, Rex Features

It's fair to say that QPR didn't make the best of starts under Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink after the former Burton boss replaced Neil Warnock at Loftus Road in December last year, failing to win in his first six games in charge.

The R's eventually finished 12th in the table, but things look rather rosier this season, with three wins from five games lifting them to sixth as it stands.

Rosy is not how the situation at opponents Blackburn could be described, as Rovers are dead last in the Championship after one draw and four defeats to start the campaign.

Few will be backing Owen Coyle's side to upset the hosts today, but football can be a funny old game at times.

  9. Owls have their wings clippedpublished at 14:28 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

Sheffield Wednesday v Wigan (15:00 BST)

    Carlos CarvalhalImage source, Rex Features

Last year's beaten play-off finalists Sheffield Wednesday have yet to show the same kind of form that saw them reach Wembley in May.

Carlos Carvalhal's side are 19th in the table on five points, having scored only three goals in their first five games.

One place below them and one point further back are Wigan, promoted from League One last season but now without a win in three league games.

This fixture is one of three games we'll be focusing on in the 15:00 starts, but we'll have round-ups from all the other games to make sure you don't miss a thing.

  10. League One and League Twopublished at 14:24 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Bristol RoversImage source, Rex Features

The pick of the fixtures in League One might be at the bottom end of the table, with Bristol Rovers facing fellow strugglers Rochdale as both sides look to find some form.

Leaders Bolton host MK Dons, who are a disappointing 14th after being relegated from the Championship last season.

In League Two, second-placed Morecambe are up against sixth placed Doncaster, while Cambridge will hope to pick up their first win of the season at high-flying Plymouth.

  15. Recap: Ref kept busy as Reading beat Ipswichpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 10 September 2016

    Reading 2-1 Ipswich

    Jeremy SimpsonImage source, Rex Features

If today can come close to matching the drama of the first of the weekend fixtures, then we are in for an absolute cracker.

Reading and Ipswich scored three penalties between them last night, with Danny Williams' spot-kick in the 95th minute securing a 2-1 win for the Royals, who are third in the table as it stands.

Unsurprisingly, Tractor Boys manager Mick McCarthy expressed his frustration with referee Jeremy Simpson after the game. You can read what he had to say, as well as Adam Williams' full match report, right here.
