    Burnley 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal's Hector Bellerin has a great chance to cross the ball from the right, but instead he plays it back to Granit Xhaka. Can you imagine the groans from the travelling support?

Eventually, a delivery from Mesut Ozil intended for Alexis Sanchez is easily collected by Tom Heaton.

Tejas Patadia: Oxlade-Chamberlain should be brought in. His pace would make the difference.

Alphonso: Burnley's defence is crowded like the streets of Manhattan.

Theo: So many great positions out wide in the first half from Arsenal, but nothing to aim a cross at. Bring on Giroud!

"In times past Arsenal would have conceded in that situation, under that aerial barrage. They have a little more about them this season, though, with more heart and leadership."

"Burnley have to get back to what they were doing in the first half - hustling Arsenal into mistakes.

"Otherwise is going to be a long last twenty minutes or so of unrelenting pressure."

And Arsenal were nearly punished for their ambling in attack as down at the other end Johann Berg Gudmundsson's header produces a brilliant diving save from Petr Cech.

That was the home side's first effort on target.

    Seriously lads!

Arsenal's Alex Iwobi, Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil all find themselves in good positions to shoot inside the area. But they dally. Just dally.

    Don't dally, just shoot.

Andy M Morley: Michael Keane looking like he could be part of the solution to Chelsea's defensive woes.

Danny McGrane: Not been impressed with Arsenal here. Helping my dad with the plastering has more appeal than watching this!

Quarky: Looking at the other results today, a draw or loss for Arsenal would fit right in to a strange day! Come on Burnley.

    Burnley 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal's Alex Iwobi tries what Anthony Martial, Diego Costa and Willian successfully managed this weekend - scoring by bending in a shot from the left of the area.

However, the Arsenal man's effort goes out for a throw-in. You can't win 'em all.

"That is the best chance of the game for Arsenal. It was a comfortable height for Tom Heaton in the Burnley goal, but the warning signs are there. It was the first time the home side defence has looked a little stretched."

    Good reactions from Tom Heaton.

The Burnley keeper dives low to his left to stop Alexis Sanchez's snapshot after the ball bounced off the legs of Hector Bellerin and into the Chilean's path.

The Clarets make a much better start to this half than they did in the first.

This time the impressive Matt Lowton volleys a cross from the right which is met by the boot of Sam Vokes at the near post. But the Welshman makes poor contact. It was a difficult chance anyway.

Tim in London: Re Jason Bowles... Burnley should play to their weaknesses, not their strengths? Because they just shouldn't care whether they win or lose?

Mark in London: Shkodran Mustafi makes all the difference to Arsenal compared to last year. Hopefully it can lead to success.

Anon: Typical Arsenal, beat Chelsea, draw (or lose - gods forbid) at Burnley.

"I don't think that Arsenal have played badly, but Burnley have just worked so hard to frustrate them. At the other end the Gunners have looked a little open and Sam Vokes will be so disappointed not have hit the target with his header. He should have scored."

Ian Funnell: Arsenal forgotten how we played the last two games and reverted to the slow passing from last season.

Hardly any chances for Arsenal - mainly down to Burnley's communication and discipline in the two lines of four. Arsenal have huffed and puffed in the final third and then thrown in a hopeful ball.
