    Southampton 1-0 Burnley

Burnley have sat back for much of the game, usually with the goalkeeper plus nine outfield players behind the ball.

They will have to push out now in order to find an equaliser.

Their first act after conceding is for Iceland midfielder Johann Berg Gudmundsson to swing the ball towards the back post, but no Burnley man can get on the end of it.

That is a poacher's goal. Charlie Austin gets lucky but he is in the right place at the right time. They deserve it.

    Against his old club.

It is not the prettiest, but Charlie Austin won't care.

Dusan Tadic swings in a corner towards the back post which Virgil van Dijk heads back across goal to Austin, whose initial effort is blocked on the line by Sam Vokes, but the former Burnley man is on hand to poke home the opener.

Austin celebrates too. Good to see.

    Southampton 0-0 Burnley

Southampton work the ball quite quickly when they get it. A couple of passes and they are in the Burnley penalty area, but Dusan Tadic's shot is bravely blocked by defender Michael Keane.

The hosts then have a corner...

Southampton's Dusan Tadic is given a no-look yellow card by referee Mike Dean after a trip on Ben Mee.

Southampton have started the second half on top and patiently work an opening.

The ball reaches Dusan Tadic in the area and the Serbian nods the ball off to Cuco Martina on the right, but the full-back's shot is sliced horribly wide.

Liverpool v Man Utd (Mon; 20:00 BST)

    Manchester United

A quick line on Monday's match between Liverpool and Manchester United.

The FA are looking into comments made by Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho ahead of Monday's Premier League game at Liverpool.

Managers are not supposed to speak about referees prior to matches.

However, speaking to journalists ahead of the game at Anfield, Mourinho said referee Anthony Taylor's job had been made 'difficult' by criticism of his appointment by some Liverpool fans as well as former referee's chief Keith Hackett.

Taylor comes from the Wythenshawe area of Manchester but is an Altrincham fan and is registered to the Cheshire FA.

The FA will want to establish the context of the comments before deciding what action - if any - they wish to take.

I think there is little lack of anticipation from Charlie Austin but he has been good - he looks sharp.

Here is former Southampton defender Francis Benali, returning from his 1,000-mile run and cycle to every Premier League and Championship stadium.

Guess how he is celebrating it? By running round the St. Mary's pitch.

    What a machine. Well done.

Goalless at the interval, but Southampton have had the better chances. They have not been able to beat Burnley goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

Let me have a go, says Virgil van Dijk.

The centre-back steps forward and smacks a shot from all of 35-yards out, but it is straight down the throat of Tom Heaton.

Oof. George Boyd is down and needs treatment after a rough, tough tackle by Jose Fonte.

The Southampton skipper got the ball, but went through the man too.

Southampton should be ahead - no doubt about that.

No need. Burnley defender Michael Keane smashes the ball out of play for a corner when goalkeeper Tom Heaton had called out for him to leave it.

From the resulting corner, Heaton lets Nathan Redmond's shot through his grasp, but Charlie Austin cannot convert the ball into the net from on the rebound.

Sean Dyche would have smashed all the teacups in the dressing room if that went in.

Make that 11 attempts at goal for Southampton, as Charlie Austin heads wide from Oriol Romeu's cross.

The hosts have had four of those shots on target, working goalkeeper Tom Heaton, while Burnley are yet to make Fraser Forster earn his cash.

Southampton are into double figures now for shots in the first time.

Nathan Redmond is looking for a cute little curler into the far top corner, but cannot get enough spin on the ball and it sails into the empty section behind the goal.
