    Manchester City 1-1 Celtic

Anyone expect Celtic to be having the better of the opening quarter? Nope, us neither.

While they have only just shaded possession, the Scottish visitors are dominating territory.

Over 35% of the game has been played in the City third - as you can see in the respective heatmaps.

Celtic have already managed three shots on target, City just the one.

    Basel 0-2 Arsenal

A dreadful offside decision goes against Alexis Sanchez, he was yards on, but his low shot is saved anyway. Should he even be playing tonight? If I was Arsene Wenger the Chilean would be at home with his two Labradors, wrapped in four foot of cotton wool and bubble wrap.

George Jenkins: If Arsenal win their group we will definitely draw Bayern.

Tom Quante: Bet if we do manage to top the group we will still draw Bayern Munich.

You just can't win with some people...

What a watchable game this is. Nolito the latest man to almost tee-up Kelechi Iheanacho with a great cross from the left but Celtic's defence stretches to cut it out.

Shanu 'Shai' Afolami: Iheanacho is a gem; a gift that just keeps giving.

Dave Ellis: Be honest if Iheanacho was playing regularly he'd grab more headlines than Rashford. Absolute quality.

    Mark: Lucas Perez, goal-hanger deluxe.

Plenty of love for strikers who don't get much game-time in the league tonight. Tweet us #bbcfootball or text in to 81111 to let us know what you think of the action.

Have a look at these average positions for Arsenal 20 minutes into the first half.

Kieran Gibbs, number three, is taking up an average position beyond the halfway line. Decent for a left-back, away from home.

A friend of mine who supports Fulham is of the opinion that Moussa Dembele's decision to go to Celtic and not - say - Tottenham will prove to be inspired. Plays every week, scores every week, looks a real force on the European stage. Where might he end up?

Excellent, unexpected news for Arsenal fans - Ludogorets have taken the lead against Paris St Germain thanks to a strike from Virgil Misidjan.

Arsenal are doing their job in trying to win Group A. It was almost an identical goal. Arsenal need a favour from Ludogorets...

That wasn't offside - he times his run well. Moussa Dembele is looking lively.

    Manchester City 1-1 Celtic

Celtic should lead! First Moussa Dembele is wrongly flagged offside before seeing Willy Caballero make a decent save from his shot, and then seconds later the former Fulham man coughs a shot into the side-netting from close range. He is a real handful.

Artem Besedin has put Dynamo Kiev ahead, as they host Besiktas in Group B - the only group in which it is still to be decided who will progress.

Kiev's goal is great news to both Benfica and Napoli, who can put their heels up and play out a draw and both still progress if the hosts - who are definitively consigned to bottom place - hold on.

In other news, Lionel Messi has put Barcelona into the lead against Borussia Monchengladbach.

  17. 'More goals in this one'published at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 6 December 2016

    Manchester City 1-1 Celtic

    Tom English
    BBC Sport Scotland

You wouldn't think that this was a dead rubber Champions League tie with the way they're going after each other.

It's like watching a re-run of the 3-3 game with Celtic scoring early and City hitting back quickly. Celtic don't look in the least bit nervous. Why would they?

They might have defensive frailties of their own but this new City defence  has been a fretful mess at times. You have to think there's more goals in this one.

    Lucas Perez (16 mins)

Another assist for Kieran Gibbs, another goal for Lucas Perez. Mesut Ozil plays a gem of a pass to the England left-back, he rifles in hard and low and when Tomas Vaclik can only parry it, it's a tap-in for Lucas Perez

Celtic are playing a very high defensive line which is risky against the pace of Kelechi Iheanacho. It is a dangerous game - but makes for an exciting game of football. It is end to end.
