"Cardiff have started brightest in the September sunshine, with the switch to a 4-3-3 system prompting the home side to play with more width and urgency than they have done in recent weeks.
"Leeds, meanwhile, have yet to make much of an impression as they struggle to hold the ball for any meaningful length of time."
Stuart Dallas once more shows a glimmer of what Leeds can do coming forward.
But his right-foot effort from the edge of the area ends up rather tamely dribbling toward Ben Amos in the Cardiff goal for an easy save.
Ian Brown on BBC Radio 5 live has just made the very notable point that no Cardiff player has scored for Cardiff City in Cardiff so far this season.
When they beat Blackburn a few weeks ago 2-1, both those goals came courtesy of Rovers defender Shane Duffy, now of Brighton of course.
Can someone in a blue shirt end that drought this afternoon?
Back to the Cardiff City Stadium and still goalless in the September sunshine.
Cardiff with the better of the chances so far. Leeds looking less than settled.
Exeter City v Plymouth Argyle (13:00 BST)
There's only one game they're talking about in Devon today, and it's at St James Park, Exeter, where Exeter City host county rivals Plymouth Argyle.
The Pilgrims, the League Two leaders, have only failed to score in one of their last 22 games against the Grecians.
But Paul Tisdale's side have have a familiar face to Plymouth fans on the bench in the form of striker Reuben Reid, who joined Exeter this week after leaving Home Park in the summer.
There's just over 10 minutes to go until kick-off.
Cardiff City 0-0 Leeds United
Sean Morrison with a great chance to open the scoring for Cardiff.
Another scrambled ball in from the corner and Morrison jumps highest to get a head on it. Ball bounces down and on to the right post.
Away and clear it goes much to Leeds' relief.

Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live
"That's a brilliant ball in from Stuart Dallas. There's nothing the goalkeeper can do and he's got lucky as it's gone past the post."
First real show of attacking intent from Leeds.
A searching ball in from Stuart Dallas from the left-hand side across the six-yard area. Chris Wood not able to get there in time for a decisive final touch and out it goes for a goal kick.
Better from the visitors.
Craig Noone putting himself about a bit in these opening 15 minutes.
Tries a shot from the edge of the Leeds area, but Pontus Jansson slides on the floor to put in a brave block.
Cardiff pump the ball into the Leeds area once more through Craig Noone in the hope of getting a blue head on it.
Leeds just about do enough to scramble it away and the corner that follows, but they're being pinned back so far.
A searching free-kick into the area from Peter Whittingham for Cardiff leads to a corner for the hosts.
Leeds get the cross away once more. Cardiff with the better of the early stages.
Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live
"It's been 100mph so far and whenever someone has had the ball at the back they have played it long.
"Both sides have big, powerful strikers in Rickie Lambert and Chris Wood, but getting the ball down and playing has been at a premium so far. Hopefully that will change."
Rickie Lambert shows the first real signs of attacking intent as he tries to charge through the Leeds defence.
The ball just gets away from him and Rob Green is off his line to snaffle it.
Not a lot to shout about in the opening exchanges.
Cardiff feeling their way in to their new 4-3-3 formation.

"Cardiff and Leeds have enjoyed quite a feisty rivalry in recent years, starting when the then Division Two Bluebirds upset a Leeds team at the top of the Premier League in a memorable FA Cup tie at Ninian Park in 2002.
"Graham Kavanagh scored Cardiff's first goal that day - a brilliant curling free-kick - and the former Republic of Ireland midfielder has just been introduced to a rapturous welcome the Cardiff City Stadium crowd."
