Another huge throw from Gareth Bale, headed out, and Bale then slides past David Alaba superbly, great pace and his cross into the goalmouth is just about clawed out by Ramazan Ozcan!

Republic of Ireland 1-0 Georgia

Oooof! Blood on the pitch after a nasty clash of heads, Robbie Brady heading wide and then following through on to the head of Solomon Kvirkvelia. Both players down and needing treatment.

Kyle: One worrying thing for Austria is how quiet Bale has been. Still think he will produce at least one moment of magic.

The goal has either lifted Ireland or deflated Georgia, either way it's the home side who look a far better side now. Four points from two games for Martin O'Neill's men? That would be a good start in anyone's book. 

Italy have come out of their shell after that Spain goal. They have a rare chance when Eder gets on the end of a cross but can only get a slight glance to the far post where Ciro Immobile slides in and can only divert the ball wide from a tight angle.

Vitolo should then have put Spain 2-0 up only to shoot wide when through on goal.

Wales have been well under the cosh but they go close to a third as James Chester rises well to meet an inswinging corner but he can't keep his header down. A big, big chance.

Just under half an hour to go. This would remain a good result for Wales if they can hang on to it. But they are rather hanging on, Ashley Williams breathing hard after making a fine intervention.

Spain finally take the lead and it comes from a mistake by keeper Gianluigi Buffon. The 38-year-old misses the ball completely as he tries to clear a Sergio Busquets through ball and leaves Vitolo with the simplest of sidefoot finishes.

Joe Allen, who opened the scoring with a fine goal tonight, is injured and after a bit of treatment he has to come off. On comes Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards. 

That goal has buoyed the hosts and they think they've got a second when James McClean heads home - but the flag is up.
