    Republic of Ireland 1-0 Georgia

There are 88 minutes on the clock in Dublin, but we will have a lengthy spell of stoppage time, I'm sure.

Into the last five minutes...Joe Ledley whips in a Wales corner. Cleared...

  3. De Rossi on the spotpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Italy 1-1 Spain

It's been nearly all Spain, but Italy are level after a late penalty! Sergio Ramos is penalised for tripping Eder, not a massive amount of contact but he came in from the wrong side, and Daniele de Rossi slides the spot-kick home!

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

Hal Robson-Kanu is on for Sam Vokes, can he conjure another piece of magic for Wales?

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Republic of Ireland 1-0 Georgia

Long stoppage here. Robbie Brady is on oxygen and on a stretcher after that clash of heads, while Solomon Kvirkvelia is bandaged up extensively.

Brady leaves the field to an ovation, on comes Glenn Whelan.

  6. CLOSE!published at 21:21 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Austria 2-2 Wales

Another huge throw from Gareth Bale, headed out, and Bale then slides past David Alaba superbly, great pace and his cross into the goalmouth is just about clawed out by Ramazan Ozcan!

    Into the last 15...

I think a draw would be a very good result. But after taking the lead twice there’s that twinge of disappointment.

It could still go either way tonight though.

    Republic of Ireland 1-0 Georgia

Oooof! Blood on the pitch after a nasty clash of heads, Robbie Brady heading wide and then following through on to the head of Solomon Kvirkvelia. Both players down and needing treatment.

Kyle: One worrying thing for Austria is how quiet Bale has been. Still think he will produce at least one moment of magic.

Does that mammoth long throw for the second goal not count Kyle?

    Republic of Ireland 1-0 Georgia

The goal has either lifted Ireland or deflated Georgia, either way it's the home side who look a far better side now. Four points from two games for Martin O'Neill's men? That would be a good start in anyone's book.

    Italy 0-1 Spain

Italy have come out of their shell after that Spain goal. They have a rare chance when Eder gets on the end of a cross but can only get a slight glance to the far post where Ciro Immobile slides in and can only divert the ball wide from a tight angle.

Vitolo should then have put Spain 2-0 up only to shoot wide when through on goal.

  12. CLOSE!published at 21:13 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Austria 2-2 Wales

Wales have been well under the cosh but they go close to a third as James Chester rises well to meet an inswinging corner but he can't keep his header down. A big, big chance.

    John Hartson

It's a very tense evening, an important half hour to be played. It's very much in the balance.

We need to get Gareth Bale on the ball and hope he comes up with something scintillating like he's capable of.

    Austria 2-2 Wales

Just under half an hour to go. This would remain a good result for Wales if they can hang on to it. But they are rather hanging on, Ashley Williams breathing hard after making a fine intervention.

Another free-kick for Austria in a good area. Ben Davies booked. David Alaba shoots.

    Over.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:03 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Austria 2-2 Wales

And now Austria have to replace goalkeeper Robert Almer, who looks to have done a calf muscle. On comes Ramazan Ozcan of Bayer Leverkusen for his eighth cap.

  17. Spain take the leadpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Italy 0-1 Spain

Spain finally take the lead and it comes from a mistake by keeper Gianluigi Buffon. The 38-year-old misses the ball completely as he tries to clear a Sergio Busquets through ball and leaves Vitolo with the simplest of sidefoot finishes.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Austria 2-2 Wales

Joe Allen, who opened the scoring with a fine goal tonight, is injured and after a bit of treatment he has to come off. On comes Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards.

  19. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Republic of Ireland 1-0 Georgia

That goal has buoyed the hosts and they think they've got a second when James McClean heads home - but the flag is up.

GOAL - Republic of Ireland 1-0 Georgiapublished at 20:57 British Summer Time 6 October 2016

    Seamus Coleman (56 mins)

Against the run of play, against the laws of physics almost. An absolute shambles of a goal from Republic of Ireland captain Seamus Coleman!

He scampers down the right, cuts in right on the dead-ball line and tries to pick out a team-mate in the middle. It rebounds back to him, he tries a pass again, it rebounds back to him, he tries a pass again, he bundles his way past the goalkeeper and ends up waking it over the line!
