Granit Xhaka is booked for a trip on the right and Manchester United have a chance to load up the box. Instead they pull it back to Ander Herrera, his chip into the middle is easy for Petr Cech to catch.

Do Arsenal deserve a point? Almost certainly not. Does that header deserve a point? Absolutely yes.

Superb from Olivier Giroud. He took three men out of the game without disturbing a single hair on his head.

What a substitution from Arsene Wenger now. Great ball and great header from Giroud after he had a running jump at it.

Oxlade-Chamberlain with an excellent cross and then Olivier Giroud has just boshed it in. Great header and Arsenal are level.

Oxlade-Chamberlain did to Rashford what we normally see Rashford do to defenders.

GOAL - Man Utd 1-1 Arsenalpublished at 89 mins

    Olivier Giroud

One effort, one goal! A goal totally out of character for Arsenal, but absolutely unstoppable.

It's a beautiful sight, if you like this sort of thing. And I do. Sub Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain takes on his man - Marcus Rashford - and whips in a great cross but Olivier Giroud has so much to do.

He climbs and jumps over three defenders to meet it on the full with a smashing header. Duncan Ferguson-esque.

Arsenal have been pretty solid in defence today but offered nothing in attack. It's just been sidewards, sidewards, backwards and repeat.

John Murray: This is going to provoke all the old questions about Arsenal.

To think that Jose Mourinho sold Juan Mata at Chelsea. Listen to the applause he's getting at Old Trafford.

Come on Arsenal, at least have a shot! This has been a very laboured, tired looking performance. Dire in fact.

That Rojo header was not unlike Sanchez's effort in the first half and it probably ended up as wide of the goal as Sanchez's did too.

Let's just have a quick rummage in the inbox. Ah yes, there we go...

Same old Arsenal. Fall apart in November, lose to a poor Man Utd squad. Wenger out is the only solution.

    Chris in Herts

Another year but the same old story for Arsenal at Old Trafford.

    Dan. From Malvern.

Another big game, another failure. Typical Arsenal, typical Wenger.

    Man Utd 1-0 Arsenal

The man with the hammer left foot, Granit Xhaka, is on for Arsenal in place of Francis Coquelin. It might take a 30-yard screamer for Arsenal to get back into this one. They haven't looked like creating much else.

  16. Postpublished at 78 mins

Good play, again, from Antonio Valencia as he digs out a testing cross but it can't quite find a man in red. It then comes in from the left, Daley Blind whips it in, Marcos Rojo meets it with a commanding header but his radar is askew. Wide!

Arsenal just don't seem to be pushing on at all. You'd rather lose 2-0 going for the draw, wouldn't you?

It's been limp and lifeless from Arsenal, it really has. Not a single effort on target yet. There are 13 minutes left.

We've seen little to nothing of Arsenal as an attacking threat in this half. Or in the match as a whole for that matter.
