You could throw a picnic blanket over the top six as it stands.

If your blanket is the standard five-point thickness, of course.

The pass made the goal - it was absolutely brilliant from Ander Herrera.

Then to be fair to Juan Mata, he just passed the ball into the opposite corner.

    Great pass. Great finish.

Arsenal, unbeaten since the start of the season, are behind. Jose Mourinho stays stern-faced on the sideline but once again his team are beating Arsene Wenger's men.

GOAL - Man Utd 1-0 Arsenalpublished at 68 mins

    Juan Mata

There it is! Out of darkness cometh light as Manchester United find a goal of real quality, in stark contrast to most of the game's play.

Paul Pogba finds Ander Herrera on the right and he picks out a dream cut-back into Juan Mata's path. He had plenty to do with that, maybe 15 yards out?

The former Chelsea man steers in first time with power and precision. Fine finish.

I can't recall the last time Arsenal were an attacking force in this half. Olivier Giroud must be close to coming on.

China will be looking for a rebate on that massive TV deal they signed in the week with too many more 'big' games like this. Very poor showing so far, particularly since half time.

It looks like Wayne Rooney has come on to play through the middle up top with Marcus Rashford moving out to the left. We'll see.

Matteo Darmian is replaced by Daley Blind though. Wayne Rooney hasn't scored as a sub in the Premier League since February 2009 (v Fulham).  His first touch gives the ball away and then he is flagged for running offside.

A noticeable surge in volume as Wayne Rooney replaces the very anonymous Anthony Martial. He goes straight up front too.

In his preview for this game Arsene Wenger said it's an attractive match that everyone around the world wants to watch.

At the moment it is not that at all.

Wayne Rooney has certainly been made to feel welcome by Manchester United's fans after revelations about his night in with England this week.

Warm applause when he was warming up and he is now about to enter the fray.

Carrick, Herrera and Pogba look like a midfield three that you could definitely work on and work with. They look comfortable together.

This second half has been a stinker. Nothing happening of note, no real tempo or zip to the match.

One of my main criticisms of Manchester United is that they never get enough players in the box and never get the ball in early enough.

They're not title contenders this season.

Well done if you got Lass Diarra.

Wayne Rooney has been warming up for at least 10 minutes now, I wonder if his time is nigh.
