Not a good goal to give away. Neil Taylor, the left-back who has been outstanding, you have to stop the cross and get closer to your man. He was allowed to put the ball in but Aleksandar Mitrovic arched his back and put the all in off the post. A great header.

A minute earlier, Gareth Bale had hit the post for Wales.

Wow, what a minute! Wales hit the post at one end, and 45 seconds later Serbia hit the post, and equalise.

Antonio Rukavina whips in a great ball from the right, Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic gets the better of James Chester to crunch a powerful header against the far post and in off Wayne Hennessey.

    To seal it...No!

Aaron Ramsey sends Gareth Bale in on goal, on his right foot and with a tough angle, he hits it first time, across goal, and off the inside of the post!

Sub Tom Lawrence was inches away from converting that...

Serbia are up to 58% possession in the second half, Wales are just camped in now, a flat back eight. Still eight minutes left? Time is going backwards.

We just need to dig in and stop the crosses. Serbia look dangerous when they get in on the outside and put balls into the box.

Only two shots have been attempted in this whole second half, one per team. War of attrition. That's a great ball in though by Serbian full-back Antonio Rukavina! Nobody there to turn it home.

This has been an ugly, ugly second half. Still 12 minutes of normal time to go...

Aaron Ramsey is back with us. Gareth Bale hurls a massive throw into the middle and it's eventually cleared. Poor old Ramsey is then whacked on the ankle. He's in the wars tonight.

The ultimate OUCH as Aaron Ramsey blocks a full-blooded shot full in the, er, shall we see crotch? Everyone finds this hilarious of course, but a stretcher is called for. That's how bad it was.

He eventually gets to his feet. Gingerly. A real eye-stinger.

    Eats up the clock though.

Chris Coleman will have sent Tom Lawrence to stretch the Serbia defence and win free-kicks with his youth and pace. Don't stop running.

Just in case you were in any doubt, Wales' sub is Ipswich forward Tom Lawrence, not the one from the film...

Twenty-five minutes to go in Cardiff. The second half has been a non event but Wales would take this now. A win is needed, a lead they have.

He's barely had any football this season and it's showing for Aaron Ramsey. Twice in quick succession his touch lets him down, ending dangerous-looking counters on both occasions. Rusty.

If a computer game was to rate players for 'nuisance value', Hal Robson-Kanu would get close to full marks.

The Wales forward is right up for this game, hassling Matija Nastasic for Gareth Bale's goal and now smashing into Serbia captain Branislav Ivanovic with what looked like a forearm.

Robson-Kanu has since received some treatment at the side of the pitch but, with the crowd roaring his name, he doesn't look ready to go off yet.
