Half-time entertainment on the south coast consists of getting people to take a penalty after spinning 10 times in a circle.

Some bloke has just taken three very long and embarrassing trips sideways on his way from the edge of the box to the penalty spot.

Expect to see this at the 2026 World Cup by the way.

Warm applause greets the men in red and black as the half-time whistle blows - though Bournemouth's Harry Arter still needs to have a long word in referee Paul Tierney's ear as the officials walk off.

Leicester have been starved of possession, their famed counter-attacking style means they are a threat on the break - but it has been corners, free-kicks and long throws barreling into the box which have seen them pose the most threats on Artur Boruc's goal.

And if the status of Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe and his assistant Jason Tindall were in any doubt down here - the half-time PA announcer has just read out a message from a fan who has named his newborn sons Eddie and Jason.

Bit of a scuffle between the players as about forty people try to squeeze down the Goodison Park tunnel. Don't worry, Duncan Ferguson was there to keep a lid on things.

That was the only way they were going to score. We were waiting for a bit of quality to come from a blue shirt and it came from Baines. Great ball in and Coleman ghosts in and a great header. That has got the crowd lifted.

    Seamus Coleman (44 mins)

Goodison is lifted! Leighton Baines bends in a cross from the left, with his right boot, and Seamus Coleman ghosts in from the opposite flank to nod in the equaliser.

He kept his header low and Petr Cech had no chance. So much space for the right-back.

James McCarthy also goes in the book for a late challenge that's probably more about urgency and panic than ill-will. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain the man left clasping at smarting ankles.

Will there be one more big chance for the leveller before the break?

That slight touch by Jagielka came at Lennon a bit too quickly, he snatched at it probably a little too early and in the end it was well wide.

Operation comeback is gathering a small amount of momentum at Goodison Park.

Nacho Monreal tries to smash away a low free-kick from the right but it's stuck under his feet, the Spaniard's limbs are flailing at thin air in futile recovery and Aaron Lennon can take advantage if he keeps his cool...

But the first-time finish is high and wide. Could have done better, the ex-Tottenham man. He would have loved a goal.

Just when Leicester were having their best spell of the game and starting to threaten from set-pieces, Bournemouth finally breach the Foxes rearguard as Marc Pugh, who hit five goals last season, opens his account for 2016-17 - and the frustrated Andy King soon earns a yellow card for attempting to swap shirts with Pugh before the first half is out.

"Champions of England, you're having a laugh," sing the home fans. The Leicester faithful's instant retort is "Champions of England, you'll never sing that."

    Bournemouth 1-0 Leicester

Andy King is penalised, a yellow card for a pull-back on Marc Pugh, who was tearing away from him as Bournemouth threaten to double their lead. They're not letting up. Lovely footwork and quick passing. Leicester increasingly resorting to the hack away. That'll do for them for now.

Finally the pressure and possession tell. There's a shade of offside as Adam Smith runs on to meet a through ball, no flag as his cut-back reaches Benik Afboe on the edge of the area.

The former Arsenal man's shot is parried out brilliantly by Ron-Robert Zieler but there is Marc Pugh - making his first start of the season - to smash home. Bournemouth lead.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Despite all the possession for Bournemouth (nearly 80% now) we know all too well Leicester can still nick a goal.

Cherries hearts are in mouths as Christian Fuchs' long throw almost finds Robert Huth in the box.

Luis Hernandez chucks in another long throw from the right - World War One stuff - and Robert Huth winds up a toe which is deflected behind for a corner. The Foxes' best spell, if you can call it that.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Bit of a penalty shout for the home side now as Nathan Ake goes down in the box under a Luis Hernandez challenge at a corner. Not much in it, Eddie Howe's keeping his cool on the sidelines.

They're getting closer though, Bournemouth. That corner came about after Josh King got to the line and cut back, forcing Wes Morgan to boom away with his head.
