    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

The weekend's diving debate is alive and well here. Bournemouth full-back Simon Francis goes down under the challenge of Marc Albrighton, and with the home fans baying for a free-kick, referee Paul Tierney just signals for a goal-kick (correctly, the replay suggests). Albrighton approaches assistant referee Andrew Garratt, miming a "diving" motion with both hands. Garratt ignores him, so Albrighton approaches ref Tierney. Who is likewise unmoved. To be continued.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

The home side have played 252 passes after 27 minutes, Leicester just 64. Making matters worse for the away side is the fact they have completed just 68% of their passes. Bournemouth have completed 90% of theirs.

Arsenal have scored as many Premier League goals from outside the box this season (4) as they managed in the whole of 2015/16.

What can Aaron Lennon do? There's space to run down the left, he cuts inside on his right and lines up a shot from outside the box that is blocked by Laurent Koscielny's heavyweight flying lunge forwards. That's defending.

That goal for Alexis Sanchez puts him joint top of the Premier League scoring charts with Chelsea's Diego Costa.

Sanchez has scored or assisted 27 goals in his last 27 league games (19 goals, 8 assists)...

Arsenal want more. Hector Bellerin screams away down the right flank and lobs up towards Alexis Sanchez.

An increasingly terrified Phil Jagielka hacks the ball away for a corner.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

For all their possession Bournemouth have just had their first meaningful shot at goal. Jack Wilshere's effort was crisp but ultimately well held by Ron-Robert Zieler.

A strange game this one. Home side having all the ball but nothing in it really.

Ronald Koeman takes a deep swig of water on the sidelines. That goal is not what they needed on a run like this.

Utter shambles from Everton. Cheap foul by Jagielka as Williams flattens his own team-mate Gueye before deflecting in Sanchez's free-kick.

    Alexis Sanchez (20 mins)

More comical scenes in the Everton back line.

Alexis Sanchez scuffs the free-kick low, it's on target and looks to be within the reach of Maarten Stekelenburg, but Ashley Williams tries to intervene and just ends up diverting the ball away from his keeper's dive. Not an own goal in my book.

  13. Wilshere takes deeper rolepublished at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 13 December 2016

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Jack Wilshere, restored to the starting line-up today, is playing deeper than he's done for much of his short Bournemouth career. sitting relatively deep with Harry Arter in central midfield rather than adopting the attack-minded number 10 position which has been his regular role for the Cherries.

In trying to unlock the Leicester defence, Wilshere's most promising link-up play has been with Simon Francis and Adam Smith down the Bournemouth right, but Foxes defensive man-mountains Wes Morgan and Robert Huth are repelling everything coming through the middle so far, and crowding out lone striker Benik Afobe.

Almost comical scenes on the edge of the Everton box as Ashley Williams comes steaming in looking to clear and absolutely cleans out Idrissa Gueye, who is still down and getting treatment.

Phil Jagielka then munches Francis Coquelin and it's free-kick Arsenal. Edge of the box.

Jagielka's gone in the book - the challenge was rash.

Arsenal have scored no fewer than three goals in each of their three previous games and Everton are not taking too many risks at the moment. As can be seen in the graphic above, there is a large gap between Romelu Lukaku and Enner Valencia and the rest of the side.

They appear to be hoping to hit Arsenal on the counter, with Lukaku knocking any long balls down for Valencia. They've not had much chance to put that tactic to the test, with Arsenal having the majority of the ball.

Bournemouth are bossing it with 77% possession. Leicester just cannot get a hold of it.

But Cherries front man Benik Afobe has still only touched the ball twice...

We've seen this before. With passes pinging about in front of the Everton lines, Arsenal are controlling the ball like few teams can, but that search for an opening goes on. Threading it through the eye of a needle.

Lukaku can't get hold of the ball and it keeps coming back every time to the keeper and that is getting the fans frustrated.
