If 'last season's' Leicester returned against Manchester City, then this season's Leicester were back three days later at Bournemouth.
There was no indication that a corner had been turned as the champions continued their miserable away form with their seventh defeat in eight league games; they've already conceded more goals on their travels than they did throughout their title-winning campaign.
A trip to Stoke is hardly the easiest assignment in their quest for a first away victory as defending champions. After a disheartening seven-game winless run at the start of the season, Mark Hughes' side have picked up 17 points from their subsequent nine matches.
They'll feel this weekend offers them an ideal opportunity to end their 36-year wait for a top-flight home win against the Foxes.

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has signed a new contract with the Spanish champions that includes a £167.5m buyout clause.
The 29-year-old former Liverpool player has scored 97 goals and won eight trophies since moving to the Nou Camp in July 2014 for £75m.
The contract, which ties the Uruguay international to the club until 2021 when he will be 34, was signed on Friday.
He scored 40 league goals last season.

This winning Chelsea run will end at some point and I think it will end when they are away from home.
A point would be a great result for Crystal Palace and, although it will mean Chelsea drop a couple of points, it will not be a serious setback.
Not everyone...

As we near the halfway point of the season you have to say that Antonio Conte and Chelsea have had a blinder.
The switch to three at the back has triggered a run of 10 straight wins, and do we all expect number 11 to happen in a few short hours?
Stoke v Leicester (15:00 GMT)
Kasper Schmeichel has been out for six weeks with a broken hand.
Leicester have won just two of their eight league and cup games since.
Schmeichel started all 38 games as Leicester won the 2015-16 Premier League title.
