"We can improve though. You can always improve in different aspects. I am pleased with this level we have reached and with work we can improve. It is important to understand we are only at the 17th game in the season. There are two games before the half way. We are working very well and are in a good position. We must not look at he table and continue. We must not look at our rivals and continue work hard ourselves.
"We have reached a good balance between offence and defence. In some moments, our goalkeeper has been decisive. We dominated the last game but Thibaut made a fantastic save. After last season when he conceded lots of goals, this season is very well for him. We offend and defend as a team.
"It is a pity. Diego Costa's yellow card, I don't know if he deserved it. It happened and now we try a different solution. Diego and N'Golo Kante are important players for us. The next game is at home and we need our fans to push us."

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew: "We are showing in the last two games what we have shown most of the year. A strong performance but they did not give us anything. That was a good as defensive display we have seen. Once we conceded, it was very difficult. It is a shame because we had some good chances in the first half.
"We could not get Wilfried Zaha isolated. We kept the ball and passed it well, but they final pass was very difficult. For our offensive players, it was the toughest game they have had. This team is not getting what it is deserves, that will change.
"We have all come up against this system before but it is with outstanding players. They ask questions and do not make errors. N'Golo Kante gives so much energy like he had at Leicester and fills holes which goes unnoticed.
"You don't really expect a centre-half to have the quality, it was a Cesc Fabregas-type ball for the goal. It was a crucial goal before half time like Manchester United scored. It is about points now, we are up against teams in and around us. I take heart from the last two performances. We deserved something."

Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann: "The positives are for everyone to see. We came up against a top team, top of the league and we deserved to get something out of the game. we showed togetherness and commitment and if we continue that, we will start picking up points.
"We more than matches them for the majority of the game but they showed their quality for the goal.
"We have come up against two top teams this week and shown resilience. Hopefully, we will turn a corner."

"It is a new position for me, but since we have changed the formation, we have worked on it every week. I am really happy with the win and the table.
Chelsea defender Gary Cahill: "It has been the same way for us the last two games and was an important win today.
"I don't know how I have not scored. My eyes lit up and i was thinking more about the celebration.
"We feel very confident. Physically, we are in good shape and fantastic players are in top form. We are organised and enjoying it."

Palace looked one dimensional at times.
In the second half they were more direct into Benteke but you want more from Zaha, Puncheon and Townsend.
Palace need to get back on track because they could be dragged into that relegation zone.

The endeavour was there for Palace. It was only 1-0 but it could have been a lot, lot more.
Defensively Chelsea were outstanding. 1-0 flattered Palace.

He has occupied the defenders, won fouls and been aggressive.
