    Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

Great attack again from Manchester City with Leroy Sane bursting down the right and Kevin de Bruyne eventually crowded out. It's all much faster, much more direct from the hosts.

City are dominating possession . They're not really getting crosses into the box because they don't have confidence to whip crosses in without a central striker.

Arsenal can't get the ball. This is where Ozil can be a liability. On the ball he is exceptional but when he has to defend and fill in holes, that is not his forte.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2016

    Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

That's so much better from Manchester City, as if every player is giving 20% more than the first half. Fernando takes Mesut Ozil and ball with one crunching tackle, Kevin de Bruyne slips a perfect pass into the run of goalscorer Leroy Sane but Petr Cech makes an excellent save.

Paul Harris: The fact that Arsenal can't defend is 100% down to the manager. Won't win anything in modern football til you can win 1-0.

Gavin Simpson: Sane was as offside as Monreal was or Sane was as onside as Monreal was...those are the fine margins that win or lose matches.

    Tottenham 1-1 Burnley

On a rare Burnley attack Andre Gray manages to get beyond Eric Dier and run into the box, Dier lunges in from behind - and gets it spot on. That was a risk or reward tackle. Gray wants a penalty but not a chance.

At the other end Christian Eriksen heads right at Tom Heaton.

    Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal

Raheem Sterling has been out on the right since the break, with Kevin de Bruyne more central and Leroy Sane on the left. City have looked more of a threat but they are still only really skirting around the fringes.

  7. CLOSE!published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 18 December 2016

    Tottenham 1-1 Burnley

If you can't go through them, go over them - that's the thinking of Christian Eriksen as he launches a powerful shot from 25 yards on to the roof of the net.

    Tottenham 1-1 Burnley

Spurs start where they left off, with their boots on the collective throat of Burnley. More good defending from the Clarets though.

Josh Earl: NEWSFLASH: Leroy Sane has done something right for a change!!

Nii: Good finish Sane. But he was offside.

Craig Andrew Smith: Frustrating given Iwobi's goal in the 1st half was just as offside in the build up. Such a hard job for the linesman

It was a magnificent ball by David Silva and Sane was on it quick as a flash.

The offside decision was almost impossible to see in real time.

I think Leroy Sane was just offside but we are talking inches. That's his first goal for the club.

    Leroy Sane 47 mins)

Well that came out of nothing! Arsenal concede from their own goal kick, which is won back in midfield, David Silva plays a very early ball over the top, Leroy Sane runs on and beats Cech with ease.

Was he offside? It looked very, very tight to me.

    Rubbish defending again...

Theo Walcott is out with the rest of the Arsenal team closely behind, a long wait for the home side but here they come.

Is there a change? Yep, it's Bacary Sagna coming on. Obvs.

    He replaces Pablo Zabaleta.

    Manchester City 0-1 Arsenal

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Etihad Stadium

Arsenal lead at half-time and will be regard that as a highly satisfactory first 45 minutes. One or two chances for Manchester City but the Gunners are probing away at City's defensive weaknesses.

Pep Guardiola's side look a little short of confidence and swagger - but Arsenal were in this position at Everton on Tuesday and lost.

Bob Moss: What happened to Man City, first few games they played like champions and now they are playing like Leicester

Alfred: City will come through eventually, their players are low in confidence and Pep does not have a decent squad to select from.

Joe Wedgwood: Could armchair analysts enjoy Pep's struggles any more? He is an innovator & genius beyond our naive comprehension in England.
