Bournemouth weren't at the races.

Southampton were.

Jay Rodriguez was particularly brilliant.

Steve Cook drives a low bouncing shot from 25 yards on the left but it's well held by Fraser Forster.

Bournemouth 1-3 Southampton

Cedric gets a bit of treatment on the pitch - I didn't see what happened because I was clearing the saliva off the keyboard after witnessing Jay Rodriguez's strike.

This is petering to 2-1 away win for the Saints. Bournemouth just don't look like they have any fight left in them.

One player who has not been poor is Saints midfielder Nathan Redmond, who almost catches out Artur Boruc with a dipping and bending shot from 20 yards.

I'm sorry, but Jack Wilshere has been pretty poor. He gives the ball away on the edge of the Saints area with his side in a promising position.

Just poor. 

Steven Davis goes straight through Adam Smith. He becomes the third player to be booked.

Pep Guardiola makes two changes from the Manchester City team which beat Watford in midweek - in come Fernando and Leroy Sane, out go Nolito and the injured Ilkay Gundogan. It means Kevin de Bruyne is the 'striker' today as Pep continues to tinker in the absence of Sergio Aguero.

Jordy Clasie goes into Mark Clatterburg's book for running into Jack Wilshere.

The free-kick from 50 yards out is, again, wasted by Bournemouth.

Southampton look pretty comfortable at the moment.

It looks like Jordon Ibe is about to come on for Bournemouth. They need an injection of life.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who had an iffy first half, fires a great low drive which Cherries defender Nathan Ake clears off the line.

It looks more like it'll be 3-1 rather than 2-2.
