    Thanks Saj.

Will we see a better goal today than that second from Jay Rodriguez? Woooosh.

Stick by Rodriguez as he has been getting in the right areas in previous games. This goal can change his and Saints goal shortage this season.

    Bournemouth 1-3 Southampton

    Bournemouth weren't at the races.

    Southampton were.

    Jay Rodriguez was particularly brilliant.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 90+2 mins

    Bournemouth 1-3 Southampton

Textbook 'bringing goalscoring hero off just before the full-time whistle'.

Jay Rodriguez is replaced by Shane Long. He's had a good day has Jay-Rod.

  7. Good shot!published at 90 mins

    Bournemouth 1-3 Southampton

Steve Cook drives a low bouncing shot from 25 yards on the left but it's well held by Fraser Forster.

Cedric gets a bit of treatment on the pitch - I didn't see what happened because I was clearing the saliva off the keyboard after witnessing Jay Rodriguez's strike.

    Jay Rodriguez

    Oh my!

    Simply incredible.

Nathan Redmond darts along the edge of the area on the left, he loses possession but the ball bounces in front of Jay Rodriguez, who turns and hits a dipping shot high past Artur Boruc inside his near post.

    Majestic!

    Bournemouth 1-2 Southampton

This is petering to 2-1 away win for the Saints. Bournemouth just don't look like they have any fight left in them.

  11. CLOSE!published at 80 mins

    Bournemouth 1-2 Southampton

One player who has not been poor is Saints midfielder Nathan Redmond, who almost catches out Artur Boruc with a dipping and bending shot from 20 yards.

I'm sorry, but Jack Wilshere has been pretty poor. He gives the ball away on the edge of the Saints area with his side in a promising position.

    Just poor.

  13. YELLOW CARDpublished at 78 mins

    Bournemouth 1-2 Southampton

Steven Davis goes straight through Adam Smith. He becomes the third player to be booked.

    Breaking

Manchester City v Arsenal (16:00 GMT)

Pep Guardiola makes two changes from the Manchester City team which beat Watford in midweek - in come Fernando and Leroy Sane, out go Nolito and the injured Ilkay Gundogan. It means Kevin de Bruyne is the 'striker' today as Pep continues to tinker in the absence of Sergio Aguero.

Arsenal make one change from defeat at Everton - Alex Iwobi replaces Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 77 mins

    Bournemouth 1-2 Southampton

Jordy Clasie goes into Mark Clatterburg's book for running into Jack Wilshere.

The free-kick from 50 yards out is, again, wasted by Bournemouth.

  16. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Bournemouth 1-2 Southampton

It ends up as a bit of a mess really.

Instead of shooting or dinking, Bournemouth pass it wide - no point in continuing to describe because it was a mess.

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 73 mins

    Bournemouth 1-2 Southampton

Joshua King, who has worked tirelessly for the Cherries in attack, is off and Jordon Ibe is on.

There are about 17 minutes + stoppage left.

Bournemouth have a free-kick approx 25 yards out and dead centre-ish.

Southampton look pretty comfortable at the moment.

It looks like Jordon Ibe is about to come on for Bournemouth. They need an injection of life.

  19. CLOSE!published at 68 mins

    Bournemouth 1-2 Southampton

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who had an iffy first half, fires a great low drive which Cherries defender Nathan Ake clears off the line.

It looks more like it'll be 3-1 rather than 2-2.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 64 mins

    Bournemouth 1-2 Southampton

    And here's another one.

Cherries forward Benik Afobe - used to sitting on the bench - comes on for Callum Wilson.
