It's the substitute Daniel Sturridge who runs across the 18-yard box. He doesn't catch the shot well. Sadio Mane reacts well - quicker than Ashley Williams and Ramiro Funes Mori. It was good work from Liverpool and they probably deserve the victory.

What a clearance! Roberto Firmino fires past Joel Robles from a cut-back from Sadio Mane but Seamus Coleman somehow cuts it off!

There was a flare thrown onto the pitch which will add a bit more stoppage time, and now we have an invader too.

Liverpool have not been great tonight but they are going second, six points behind Chelsea. Still time left...

A slip from Dejan Lovren opens up a channel for Romelu Lukaku and he powers past and into the area, he's crowded out though by some determined defending and it comes to nothing.

Something to remember this game by, perhaps. There was a long pause when Maarten Stekelenburg was injured.

All the tempo we saw from Everton before half-time has gone from them now. They are not on the front foot as much as they were and are just trying to contain Liverpool at the moment.

Liverpool are having a lot more of the ball now but you would not say they are creating an awful lot either. They went close with that Roberto Firmino shot but that was only their second shot on target - we have not seen a lot of quality from either side really.

Daniel Sturridge has scored four goals in his last five league appearances against Everton for Liverpool.

Romelu Lukaku fouls his man and in the stoppage Jordan Henderson and Ross Barkley have a few words again. Neither man is backing down. Barkley should be off.

Keep the faith, goal fans. Everton have scored a goal in the final five minutes in four of their last five Premier League matches – three of these have changed the outcome of that match.  

Oh what a save! The best chance of the match as Roberto Firmino finds a pocket of space to meet a corner from the right, he steers a volley powerfully towards the corner and Joel Robles makes a flying save!
