Three points for Real Madrid then sends them top of La Liga - a point ahead of Sevilla. Just three points separate Real from city rivals Atletico Madrid in fifth. Could we be set for one of the most open title races in La Liga in a long time?

In Ligue 1, a point for Rudi Garcia in his first game in charge of Marseille, while PSG lose ground on leaders Nice who they trail by six points.

Karim Rekik not just on to waste time it seems as he makes a vital block to deny Blaise Matuidi a shot in the final minute of injury time. Not long after the referee blows his final whistle. Despite PSG's domination it ends in stalemate.

Last chance of the game and Cristiano Ronaldo really should have added a third. Athletic have sent men forward, they have to take the risk, and Lucas Vazquez squares it to Ronaldo, who is in acres of space. He takes a touch, composes himself and then shoots right at keeper Gorka Iraizoz.

Real have a corner. No rush at all. Two minutes to go.

It's not been Edinson Cavani's night as he makes it a hat-trick of missed chances. Cavani stabs at Blaise Matuidi's low cross in the six-yard box and sends the ball wide of goal. A certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic might have made the difference for PSG tonight you feel.

There are only two minutes to go but Athletic are pushing for an equaliser. Can Real hang on?

PSG introduce Hatem Ben Arfa - formerly of Newcastle, Hull and Marseille of course - for Thiago Motta. He has yet to score for PSG in Ligue 1. He's got 10 minutes to change that.

Oh, how has Inaki Williams not got Athletic back on level terms instantly? Raphael Varane switches off at the back and plays Williams in. The forward attempts to chip Keylor Navas, who is able to save his shot. He probably could have just rounded the keeper.

Another unpopular substitution as Angel di Maria is withdrawn by Unai Emery with ex-Real Madrid forward Jese on in his place. Di Maria chunters under his breath as he takes his place on the bench while the home fans jeer. PSG still dominating possession but Marseille are defending for their lives.

A let-off for Athletic as Alvaro Morata's shot is straight at the keeper's legs and an Athletic defender blasts it off another one - it could go anywhere but it's out for a corner.

Then Real midfielder Mateo Kovacic has a go from distance but it's well wide.

Gareth Bale has a big chance to put Real Madrid ahead but squanders it. Toni Kroos plays a brilliant ball over the top and Bale seems to be caught in two minds - square it to Ronaldo or shoot first time. In the end, I'm not sure what he went for. It was neither. There are 12 minutes left.

A great chance for Edinson Cavani. Lucas Moura swings a ball into the area and the unmarked Cavani evades the Marseille offside trap at the near post only to head wide. Twice the Uruguayan has been in good positions, twice he's failed to hit the target. Just under 20 minutes left for PSG to find a way past this stubborn Marseille defence.

Athletic Bilbao bring off Raul Garcia, to whistles and jeers from the Bernabeu. Not popular here for helping Atletico Madrid to win La Liga.
