The way they've started the game, that's no more than Derby deserved. They've pressed Wolves back inside their own half. It was a lovely ball in from Max Lowe and Will Hughes should've scored with the header, but Andy Lonergan didn't parry it clear far enough.

    Wolves 0-1 Derby County

Wolves have let in plenty of early goals recently and they do so again.

Andy Lonergan's poor clearance gifts Derby possession and when they work the ball to the left, Max Lowe swings in a super cross.

Will Hughes' header is palmed away by Lonergan but only as far as Tom Ince who makes no mistake from three yards.

    Wolves 0-0 Derby County

Wolves have barely been out of their half yet, but Ivan Cavaleiro's pass down the left results in a free-kick deep in Derby territory, but they can't make anything.

A few nerves early on in the Wolves back four as they gave that ball away. Darren Bent from a tight angle tried to side-foot it towards goal rather than take a full strike at it, but first chance to Derby.

    Wolves 0-0 Derby County

Early chance for Derby as Darren Bent peels off his marker and volleys over Johnny Russell's cross from 12 yards following Dominic Iorfa's mis-kick.

By the way. this is the 150th meeting of Wolves and Derby, two of the founder members of the Football League.

What was the result of the first time they played on 3 November 1888, I hear you ask?

For the record it was Wolves 4-1 Derby.

The Molineux bugler has played his final note of the Last Post and the players break off into their respective halves after a perfectly-observed silence.

Wolves captain Danny Batth gathers his side together for a pre-match huddle.

    Kick-off is moments away.

Wolves v Derby County (12:30 GMT)

With this being Wolves' nearest home game to Remembrance Sunday, there will be several moments of reflection before kick-off.

Author Frederick Forsyth has just read out a poem before the teams emerge from the tunnel.

A two-minute silence and the playing of the Last Post is imminent.

With five Premier League games to follow later this afternoon, the other current football focus is on the FA Cup, where 28 first-round ties are being played today.

Last night Millwall made it through to round two with a win over Southend, while National League side Eastleigh and League One Swindon must replay after a 1-1 draw.

Among the teams in action today are Herefordshire-based Westfields, the lowest-ranked team left in the competition.

They've already won six ties to get this far - the equivalent of a Premier League side actually winning the cup - and entertain fellow non-leaguers Curzon Ashton.

By kick-off time, Westfields first-team coach Andy Bevan will have been up for 12 hours as he gets up at 3am to milk his cows on his farm.

Enjoy your extra hour in bed last weekend when the clocks went back? I trust you did, unless you've got young children, of course.

Anyway, the changing of the clocks heralds the return of the hi-vis winter ball.

That got us thinking, and today we'd love to hear your stories of when you've lost your football. What happened?

Did you kick it over a pro's fence and he wouldn't give it back, has it floated off to sea or did your dog mistake it for your homework? Get in touch using #bbcefl on Twitter.

Fan of footy stats? Here's a few to mull over from this lunchtime's game courtesy of our friends at Opta.

    • There have been 16 goals in the last four league meetings between the sides at an average of four per game (six for Wolves, 10 for Derby).
    • Wolves have lost their last two home league games – they haven’t lost three in a row since losing nine on the trot between January and April 2012.
    • The Rams have only conceded two goals in their last six league games (W3 D2 L1).
  13. Rams on the risepublished at 12:17 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

Wolves v Derby County (12:30 GMT)

It's fair to say that most fans of Championship clubs would have expected Derby to again be among the main promotion challengers this season, but it hasn't worked out like that... yet.

But, after taking only 10 points from their first 11 games, the shoots of recovery have been there to see since the return of Steve McClaren as manager.

The Rams have taken seven points from the former England boss' four games in charge and, like Wolves, are on 17 points, seven off the play-off places.

But with 31 games to play, starting today, Rams fans will feel there's time to claw back that deficit.

  14. Wolves set to appoint Lambert as bosspublished at 12:15 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

Wolves v Derby County (12:30 GMT)

Rob Edwards will again be in charge of Wolves this afternoon, following the sacking of former boss Walter Zenga last month.

But it's likely to be the last time the former Wales international defender is at the helm...

    Paul LambertImage source, Rex Features

BBC Radio 5 live's Pat Murphy reports that former Norwich and Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is poised to take over as manager, with his appointment expected to be confirmed over the next few days.

Wolves v Derby County (12:30 GMT)

The answer is, well, maybe as George Saville is named on the Wolves bench, having not made a senior appearance since their 2-1 defeat at Wigan in September.

    Andy LonerganImage source, Getty Images

There is a first league start in goal, though, for summer signing Andy Lonergan because Carl Ikeme is out with a hip injury.

There's three more changes too, with Dominic Iorfa, Joao Teixeira and Ivan Cavaleiro coming in for Kortney Hause, Romain Saiss and Jed Wallace.

Derby make two changes to the side that beat Sheffield Wednesday last weekend, with Will Hughes and Max Lowe replacing Jamie Hanson and the injured Marcus Olsson respectively.

  17. First up...published at 12:06 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

Wolves v Derby County (12:30 GMT)

For the time being we're going to concentrate on our first game of the afternoon at Molineux, and the Midlands derby between Wolves and er... Derby.

Wolves have lost only one of their last nine league home games against the Rams, including victories in the last two.

George Saville scored both goals as Wanderers won last season's Molineux meeting 2-1. But will he be able to repeat those heroics this afternoon?

"Remember, remember the 5th of November, gunpowder, treason and plot..", so the rhyme about Guy Fawkes and his gang's failed attempt to blow up parliament goes.

Later this evening, the night sky will be filled with colour as bonfires and fireworks up and down the land mark the anniversary.

But we don't want to wait that long.

Nope, we want our fix this afternoon - and there are some banging games in the Championship that should do the job nicely.

Welcome to this afternoon's EFL action.
