It's fair to say it's been a cagey start at the John Smith's Stadium as Huddersfield and Birmingham feel their way into the game.

There have been no clear openings for either side in the first 16 minutes.

  2. McGovern keeps Norwich levelpublished at 15:18 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Norwich 0-0 Leeds

Leeds are now firmly on top at Norwich, where they would be in front if not for an excellent save by Canaries keeper Michael McGovern to deny Kalvin Phillips from 20 yards out.

Moments later, Chris Wood has a free header from a corner, but McGovern is there to parry the ball away once again.

    Nervy moments for the hosts.

  4. Worry for Wellspublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Huddersfield 0-0 Birmingham

There's early concern for Huddersfield as Nahki Wells needs treatment after taking a blow on his foot.

The Terriers won't want to lose the striker as they look to bounce back from last weekend's 5-0 defeat at Fulham.

  5. Leeds make bright start at Norwichpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Norwich 0-0 Leeds

Norwich suffered a crushing 5-0 defeat by Brighton in their last game, and they still look a little rattled from that showing.

Leeds have yet to open the scoring at Carrow Road, but Chris Wood and Kemar Roofe have already had a couple of efforts for the visitors.

    Wigan 0-2 Reading

This is definitely not the start Warren Joyce would have wanted to his reign at Wigan as Reading double their lead.

Garath McCleary is the man on target again, firing home from just outside the box.

  8. goal

GOAL (McCleary)published at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 5 November 2016

    Wigan 0-1 Reading

First goal of the afternoon comes at Wigan and it's a horror start for new manager Warren Joyce.

Reading are ahead inside the fist 60 seconds as Garath McCleary pounces on some dithering at the back and lifts the ball over the oncoming goalkeeper.

    Wolves 2-3 Derby County

    Wolves 2-3 Derby County

Man of the match Tom Ince told Sky Sports: "I've had a poor start to the season and I've got to get back to enjoying my football and excite the fans."

On the penalties: "He (Ivan Cavaleiro) dangled a leg out and stopped me from striking the ball. At the other end, I stood my ground, but he tried to stop me running. It was a fully deserved win in the end."
