Crystal Palace are really packing out their area now, desperate to try and prevent Arsenal from running away with this game. Mohamed Elneny finds a way through with a drive from distance, but it's just wide.

Charlie Devas: One minute he can't hit a barn door from 6 yards, the next who's back-heeling them in. Oh, Olivier.

Paul Thompson: Scorpion finishes are like London buses! You wait a lifetime to see one and two come along at once. World class from Giroud.

Big Gray: Olivier Giroud has just scored the world's best goal ever!

Goal of the season? It was a truly brilliant inventive finish by Olivier Giroud, capped by the fact it went in off the underside of the bar.

Almost a second for Arsenal as Andros Townsend gives the ball away inside his own area but Wayne Hennessey rescues his team-mate by snatching the ball from Nacho Monreal's feet.

Well, honestly, that was an unbelievable finish. It has to be up there with the goal of the season already.

He's hooked that with a gadget foot - the ball is behind him and he has no right to get his foot to it.

    Oh what a goal!

Brilliant from Arsenal as they hit Crystal Palace on the counter. Olivier Giroud is involved in the start of the move before charging forward and into the area just in time to meet Alexis Sanchez's cross with a stunning scorpion goal - hooking in with his trailing foot. Superb stuff.

Alexis Sanchez absolutely hammers a shot at goal. Just wide, but there was so much power behind it he burst the ball. Wayne Hennessey wouldn't have fancied getting in the way of that if it was on target.

Ten minutes in and Arsenal are dominating - as much as Tottenham were in the opening stages of their game against Watford. The Gunners win their third corner of the game but it's poor and easily caught by Wayne Hennessey.

Arsenal appear to be going for balls over the top and trying to hit Palace with the pace of forwards. It almost pays off as Lucas Perez finds space in the middle, but is beaten to the ball by Wayne Hennessey.

Crystal Palace have right back Joel Ward filling in at left back and it seems for a moment he forgets where he is playing as he slices a clearance out of play under no pressure.
