Hugo Lloris has had little to do. So little, in fact, that he has almost forgotten how to be a goalkeeper as he fluffs his catch from Troy Deeney's cross under close attention from Jerome Sinclair. The ball almost squirms over the line until Eric Dier hooks clear, but it wouldn't have counted anyway, as Sinclair was deemed to have fouled Lloris when challenging for the cross.

Audible scream from Vincent Janssen as he is caught late by Craig Cathcart. Referee Michael Oliver dishes out his third yellow card of the game - all of them for Watford players.

This game, perhaps unsurprisingly, has gone a bit flat. Watford know the game is done for them, while Tottenham players won't want to waste too much energy.

Just 19 touches for Odion Ighalo today. That's 14 fewer than Dele Alli who went off nearly 20 minutes ago.

Ighalo has one league goal this season. He had 13 by this stage of the last campaign.

Nordin Amrabat has taken a few knocks in the last few minutes and they are taking their toll. Keen not to risk losing more players to injury, Watford boss Walter Mazzarri takes him off and sends on Jerome Sinclair in his place.

Charlie Meacham: Spurs so much stronger with Dier in midfield. Allows him to drop into a back three, releasing the wing backs.

Good link up again between Kieran Trippier and Harry Kane sees the latter in space on the right side of the area. He attempts to cut the ball back for a team-mate, but only finds a former one instead and ex-Spurs man Etienne Capoue clears.

A change for Watford as Jose Holebas - who is on a booking - is taken off to be replaced by young defender Brandon Mason. His introduction gets the biggest cheer of the game from Watford fans. Tottenham also make a change as Ben Davies comes on for Danny Rose.

The heavy rain and disappointing scoreline looks to have proven too much for some Watford fans. There's a fair few more empty seats than there were in the first half. Credit to those who have stuck it out, but even the most optimistic of fans will struggle to fancy their side's chances of mounting a comeback.

Son Heung-min is left in visible discomfort after a meaty challenge by Sebastian Prodl. It's a tackle Michael Oliver isn't happy with and books the Watford defender.

The fine work of Kieran Trippier is perhaps visible below. The Spurs right back has shown endless energy today, bounding up the right wing to create the first two goals. His team have used him repeatedly as an outlet.

Tottenham would do well to conserve energy, keep the ball and look to the Chelsea match now. This has the semblance of a training ground exercise now.

Trippier and Wimmer coming into the team here have done admirably and really taken their chances.
