That is a shocking decision from Mike Dean. Never a red card in a million years.

It is a 50/50, they are both going for the ball. Do I blame Phil Jones for reacting like that? No I don't.

Dr David: Was Dean obviously wrong? No. Within the interpretation of the rules. Video replay would reach same conclusion.

Khael Malik: Imagine what West Ham could have done with 11 men?

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 45 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

Oof, West Ham almost break the deadlock on the stroke of half time.

Argentine midfielder Manuel Lanzini finds space on the edge of the box and aims a curling effort towards the far top corner, but Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea springs full stretch to his left to push the ball away.

A stunning stop, but one we have now come to expect from the Spaniard.

West Ham will feel unjustly treated with that sending off.

Apart from that one skirmish in the six yard box that West Ham got away with, Manchester United are dominating but not creating much.

Jose Mourinho stands on the touchline with his hands in his bomber jacket.

The Manchester United boss scowls as he sees his side struggle to break the 10-man of West Ham down.

Having seen top-four rivals Liverpool drop points, this would be a big opportunity missed for the Red Devils.

Jerry Ulumeze: When was the last time Valencia scored? He has completely forgotten how it is done

Sam Pougher: Man Utd were very unlucky to not get a goal there but great save from Randolph

Shane O'Neill: Antonio Valencia is having a stinker today, and that miss just compounds it. Lingard is no better. Woefully bad

Looking at the goal decision system for that Antonio Valencia chance, I would say around 90% of the ball had crossed the line.

Darren Randolph managed to drag it back before the remaining 10% went in.

How did that not go in??

West Ham get a huge slice of luck.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic gets a cross across the box to Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who plays it across to Antonio Valencia around three yards out.

He has the whole goal to aim at, but West Ham goalkeeper Darren Randolph stretches his hand out and somehow stops the ball crossing the line.

Jesse Lingard, with a free net, then hits the post. Incredible miss.

I mentioned luck, I'm doing Randolph a big disservice there. It is a fantastic save.

They have got to stay really focused here, West Ham.

Slaven Bilic is orchestrating his team to try and keep some kind of shape, he's playing the game from the technical area.

Players are popping up in areas and having to fill holes. There's no real formation at the moment. Dimitri Payet has popped up at right back.

Safe to say, Manchester United have not taken advantage of their extra man and West Ham are looking very comfortable at the moment.

Surely the visitors will improve as this game goes on.

West Ham's Havard Nortveidt will definitely need to improve on his crossing, as he puts one into the stand behind David de Gea's goal.

Considering they are situated around 20 yards back, that takes some doing.

Lance G Mitchell: It wasn't even a foul. The manager should be berating him for not being fully committed to the tackle. Difference 5 mins later?

James Phillips: I normally agree with the refs decision but this one was the wrong call in all all parts.

Flemming Jensen: That was more of a collision, wasn't it? Very, very harsh red.
