  1. YELLOW CARDpublished at 30 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

This will not make the West Ham fans any happier.

Dimitri Payet goes into Mike Dean's book for dissent.

Hammers supporters then throw expletives at the referee.

It's getting ugly at the London Stadium.

    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

As you would expect, Manchester United are having the majority of the possession, 63% to be precise, but they are facing a wall of 10 West Ham men to get past.

    Lots of passing, little penetration.

It's all very intricate, but Manchester United are going to have to be patient.

Jose Mourinho will be telling his players they have to stay on their feet, not make any rash challenges that will even this game up. At the moment they are going to dominate with the man advantage they have.

Mike Dean has to be very strong, the one thing you hope is he is consistent in the way he interprets the challenges for the rest of this game.

Wonder if Mike Dean will get a call to officiate in the Chinese Super League...?

I think the West Ham fans would have a whip round and pay for his plane ticket there.

    Horrendous, ridiculous, terrible.

Just a few of the words being used to describe the decision made by referee Mike Dean to send off Sofiane Feghouli.

Johnny Magrinho: What a horrendous decision against Feghouli. This is why we need video reviews - heat of moment decisions are rarely right!

Andy: Never a red, but I'd rather play with ten men than have Feghouli on the field anyway. He's terrible.

Colin Reardon: What an appalling decision by Mike Dean. Never a red. 10 secs of TV replay would resolve. And I'm a #MUFC, external fan!

I think it is a harsh decision. The fair decision would be a yellow card for Sofiane Feghouli, because he's not jumped in to hurt Phil Jones.

It is two players coming together totally committed to playing the ball. Jones has got there first.

    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

West Ham have 75 minutes to play with 10 men, a big ask.

Now Jesse Lingard goes in late on Cheikhou Kouyate. The home supporters and boss Slaven Bilic are incensed by that, but this time Mike Dean gives no card.

Could have been a yellow, that. Lingard jumped in from behind there.

The Hammers are down to 10.

    Harsh decision?

West Ham's Sofiane Feghouli has been dismissed. The Algerian takes a heavy touch on the ball allowing Phil Jones to nick it away.

Feghouli stretches, with both feet low to the ground, and goes in late on the Manchester United defender.

Did he have full control of his body? Perhaps not. Would anyone have complained if Mike Dean had just given a yellow? Definitely not.

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had two touches of the ball so far, the least of any player on the pitch.

The Hammers will be very happy if they can keep that going throughout the match.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 11 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Man Utd

Lovely stuff from the Hammers, who have made the better start to this game.

They begin this move deep in their own half, before foraying forward to the edge of the opposition area in a flash.

Playmaker Dimitri Payet shapes to shoot again, but cuts a ball back across to Manuel Lanzini, whose low curler is pushes away by David de Gea on the stretch.

It was going wide, but the Spaniard was just making sure.

    United yet to get going.

Both managers are out off their seats and on the touchline.

In fact, Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is risking the wrath of the fourth official - not for the first time in his career - by standing outside his permitted zone.

    What a rebel.

Anyway, Dimitri Payet skips past a couple of United players, but his shot from the edge of the box is weak and David de Gea can gather.

First shot of the game. Dimitri Payet strikes way wide of goal for West Ham.

He was aiming down the Central line, but ended up getting it on the Victoria one. Disappointing.

Back in the starting line-up for Manchester United and skipper for the day, Michael Carrick already popping the ball around to his team-mates against his old club.

No chances to speak of yet, a rather subdued opening.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 1 min

Expecting plenty of exciting action from all 23 men on the pitch today.

A textbook start from Mike Dean, with the no-look kick-off. The Ronaldinho of referees. Beauriful.

Off we go at the London Stadium.

I was lucky enough to be commentating alongside Sir Trevor Brooking for West Ham's thrilling Upton Park finale win over Manchester United.

Since then the Hammers have been looking to christen their new home with a famous victory. This could be the day.

All the pointers suggest an away win. Manchester United have only lost once in their last 16 league meetings.

Mourinho has been beaten once in 12 games against West Ham. Wayne Rooney has scored 11 against them. Anthony Martial five in five meetings.

But it's time Andy Carroll broke his duck against the visitors. A shock? Maybe!

The teams have completed their warm-ups and made their long walk back from the pitch to the changing rooms. That walk is a warm-up in itself.

Final few minutes before kick-off and the supporters are singing along to The Clash's London Calling.
