Good to see that Steven Gerrard's legacy lives on in the Premier League as Gary Cahill says 'we go again' five times in his post-match interview.

These are the nights Mauricio Pochettino will look at his squad and say ‘I’m very proud of you, to take a game as pressurised as this and turn it into a win’.

The combination of that three at the back works because of the balance, at times there towards the end you saw Eric Dier and Jan Vertonghen freeing themselves up and that was the big change in the second half for me.

The minute Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld started dropping a few passes in behind it was a question Chelsea weren’t able to answer. Alderweireld is the most important player in the team.

[I would argue that neither of these were midfielders but] the only midfielders to reach 20 Premier League goals quicker than Dele Alli (52 appearances) are Rafael van der Vaart (44) and Matt Le Tissier (50).

It was going to take the best performance of the season to stop what Chelsea have created so far this season with this run they have been on.

Spurs got everything they deserved and were the better side, they took their chances when they needed them.

It was always going to be tough to go on and beat that run for Chelsea, but what a run it has been.

I do find it hilarious how people are questioning Conte's management/the title chase now being wide open after one defeat. It's as if the expectation was Chelsea would win every game and now they haven't it's the end of the world. Symptomatic of the media/culture of total short term outlook on everything these days.

Can everyone just calm down? It's January, and we're only half-way through the season.

Spurs have been right at their best, particularly from a defensive point of view, but there have still been moments where Chelsea have put them under pressure.

Antonio Conte has thrown absolutely everything at this. It was as attacking as it gets.

Jamil Ahmud: Liverpool's point at Sunderland could prove vital rather than two points dropped.

Ricky: As a Utd supporter I would have been happy with a draw! However you can't take away the fact Spurs have been fantastic tonight and Alli out of this world... I hear Madrid knocking.

Charlie Thursfield: Brilliant management from Pochettino matching Chelsea's formation.

I'm sure Dele Alli will get all the plaudits and rightly so for his two special moments, but the job Victor Wanyama has done in that midfield for Spurs has been immense.

He has helped protect that back three. He has been really important in what looks like a Spurs win this evening.

Jude: If Chelsea lose it'd do more damage to Arsenal than them. This Spurs side won't get "shoved" off the top 4 easily.

Jared Maobe: So, what did Conte prepare about this game? Disorganization? No Motivation? No plan? No Direction? POOR.

Ian Shepherd: Alli...a snip at 5m....bargain of the decade?...finally a decent English goalscoring midfielder...and I'm an arsenal fan.....

Just listen to that, Dele Alli has been the difference at the pivotal moments in what has been such a tight game.

His two headers are the reason these Spurs fans are singing his name and the reason they are so happy.
