All over at St James' Park and Newcastle are back on the top of the Championship.

It wasn't the perfect performance from Rafa Benitez's side who had to wait until Matt Mills was sent off for Forest before reclaiming the lead.

Two more goal from Dwight Gayle to take his season tally to 19 already.

Speculation did link him with a return to parent club Derby, but Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic had this to say in his "post-match" press conference...

    Millwall 2-1 Gillingham

Gillingham have a goal back against Millwall, but is it too little too late?

They're playing with 10 men remember after Paul Konchesky was sent off for a second yellow, and they've got 10 minutes left to complete the turnaround.

    Well, well, well.

I think there might be a goal of the season contender at Portman Road.

Brett Pitman has put Ipswich back ahead with three minutes remaining with an overhead kick.

Freddie Sears lifts a cross into the area and the former Bristol City man turns his back to goal and fires in with his right foot.

  13. goal

GOAL (Gayle)published at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2016

    Newcastle United 3-1 Nottingham Forest

That looks like game, set and match Newcastle United.

Dwight Gayle bags number 19 for the season and his second of the night.

He didn't know a huge amount about it to be fair as it almost bounces off him as Matt Ritchie's deep cross finds its way through the Forest defence to him and his chest-down wrong-foot's Vladimir Stojkovic.

  14. Fog heaven's sake...published at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2016

Morecambe's comeback seems to be on hold against Hartlepool, the score in that one remains 3-1 to Hartlepool.

Elsewhere, Wycombe still lead Cheltenham Town by just one goal, and at Huish Park....i'll let you take a guess.

Yes, it's still 0-0 between Yeovil and Portsmouth and we're told conditions haven't improved since half-time (see below)

  15. CLOSE!published at 21:24 Greenwich Mean Time 30 December 2016

    Ipswich Town 1-1 Bristol City

Ipswich go close again to reclaiming the lead.

Freddie Sears almost squeezes an effort over the line after Frank Fielding fails to hold on to a 50-50 ball.

A Bristol City defender is there to clear the first effort and then Fielding is back on his feet to block the rebound.

Last 15 minutes of the game at Portman Road.

Tammy Abraham notched an equaliser for Bristol City earlier and he goes close to a second to put them ahead.

He turns sharply from an Aden Flint knock-down, but can't keep his shot under the bar.
