Brentford midfielder Ryan Woods on Sky Sports:

"We're disappointed we couldn't snatch it at the end with them going down to 10 men but we started off by trying to make it difficult for them tonight and we could have pinched it at the end."

On Robbie Brady's red: "It was a 50-50 but I've got a few marks on my thigh. It's a tough one on the night but it's the referee's decision at the end of the day."

Norwich defender Russell Martin told Sky Sports:

"It's disappointing not to win the game. We had three or four chances which should be goals. 

"We showed what we were about, we showed togetherness and belief. That's a small step towards getting back to where we want to be."

If only they had played like the final 10 minutes for the whole game we may have had a goal in that match.

As it is, the game ends goalless after Norwich full-back Robbie Brady's red card.

A long ball forward finds Brentford striker Philipp Hofmann, but he lashes at a cross into the box and it goes into the stands.

Norwich win a free-kick in the Brentford half, but it's easily cleared by the Bees defence and in the aftermath the canaries cannot get a shot away. It's all a bit frantic.

Sullay Kaikai swings in a dangerous corner but somehow Norwich clear the danger ahead of a Bees head and break down the other end, but Martin Olsson's shot from outside the area was straight at Dan Bentley.

Alex Neil is probably trying to run down the clock, so decides to take off Alex Pritchard in place of Steven Naismith.

We're into six minutes of injury time and Brentford are on top at Griffin Park. Some last-ditch defending clears away a low cross from Scott Hogan

Ryan Bennett may well have just saved Norwich a point.

Scott Hogan turns into the box and looks to be one-on-one with John Ruddy, but Bennett stretches and gets to the ball before Hogan can shoot.

Brentford bring on big striker Philipp Hofmann to try to win the match, but a cross into the box just evades his head and is gathered by John Ruddy.

That sums today up.

Norwich win a free-kick central and around 20 yards out. What can they do with it?

Adam Barley: This just sums up our season so far! Both players go studs up but we get punished? Hard to be a Norwich fan sometimes..  

Dan Bell: Both players were sliding in. How can Brady be sent off?? Surely both should be sent off.

Brentford break with real purpose through Romaine Sawyers, but Scott Hogan totally miscontrols the ball on the edge of the area.

Norwich shure up the left-hand side now that full-back Brady has been dismissed. Striker Cameron Jerome off. Martin Olsson on.

Brady looked incensed by the decision to send him off. Both players were looking at the ball. He has been central for Norwich today and that could prove crucial.

Anyway, back to the action and a succession of Brentford set plays are dealt with by Norwich.

Norwich are down to 10 men, but you have to say it's very harsh.

Robbie Brady and Ryan Woods go in for a 50-50 tackle, which Woods gets to first and Brady leaves a mark on the Brentford midfielder and the ref shows him a straight red.

Brady did have his studs up, so presumably that's why he's been sent for an early bath.

Brentford make a second change already, bringing on Yoann Barbet in place of Tom Field.

Ryan Woods is soldiering on after his earlier injury.

Jacob Murphy almost makes an immediate impact after latching onto Cameron Jerome's flick through, but his shot when one-on-one is kept out by Dan Bentley's legs.

Brentford boss Dean Smith clearly wants a spark, so decides to bring on Romaine Sawyers for Josh McEachran.

Norwich boss Alex Neil brings on Jacob Murphy for Ivo Pinto.
