    Brentford 0-0 Norwich

Cameron Jerome has been central so far today, and again he has another chance after outpacing a defender to a long ball forward, but his shot on goal is 'shinned'.

    I know that feeling, Cameron.

Neat build-up play finds Nico Yennaris free on the edge of the Norwich box, but his pass through to a Brentford team-mate is snuffed out, before Ivo Pinto drives forward for the visitors, only for that too to be snuffed out before it enters the 18-yard box.

    Brentford 0-0 Norwich

There's no way to talk this up. For the neutral, this match has been pretty dross.

A brief moment of action off the field though as Robbie Brady leaves the pitch to change his boots.

2016 going out with a bang.

    Brentford 0-0 Norwich

The best chance of the game falls to Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome but it remains goalless.

A neat one-two between Robbie Brady and Nelson Oliveira sets the former free to run into the area. Instead of shooting, Brady is unselfish and decides to pass it across goal to Jerome, who cannot connect properly and Daniel Bentley falls gratefully onto the ball.

Josh McEachran came into the Brentford midfield today and is the first player to be booked in this match, for a foul on Nelson Oliveira.

Nahki Wells celebrates goalImage source, Rex Features

Nahki Wells' superb late free-kick earned Huddersfield a home point against Blackburn. Rovers went ahead nine minutes from time through Danny Graham's header.

    Huddersfield boss David Wagner:

"We invested everything in the game and I will take the point. If the opposite of disappointed is happy, then I am happy with the result.

"Few teams would have come back after playing as well as we did and then conceding a late goal. For that reason I am happy.

"The players still trusted and believed in themselves and they kept going right to the end."

A clear pattern is emerging. Norwich win a set piece, it is again cleared by Brentford.

If you're interested in a little nap before you stay up late to see in New Year, this might be the game to help you do that.

Safe to say this has not been a fast-paced start...

Crystal Palace coach Mark Bright is in the stands to watch on-loan forward Sullay Kaikai, who has been feeding off scraps for Brentford so far.

  18. Postpublished at 6 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Norwich

First chance of the match falls to Norwich striker Cameron Jerome as he heads Robbie Brady's left-wing cross straight into the hands of keeper Dan Bentley.

A bit of a scrappy opening at Griffin Park as neither side can find their passes. The ball seems like it's spent more time off the pitch than on it so far.
