    Middlesbrough 0-1 Liverpool

Adama Traore skins two men down the right and cuts in a decent cross, Viktor Fischer is almost there but can't gather it in and Adam Forshaw ends up smashing in a shot which is blocked by the enterprising Adam Lallana. Good pressure from the Boro though.

GOAL - Sunderland 0-1 Chelseapublished at 20:24 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Cesc Fabregas (40 mins)

Brilliant goal! N'Golo Kante does what he does, winning the ball back on halfway and quick as you like Chelsea are in on goal. Cesc Fabregas plays a one-two with Willian and then, from just outside the area, he strokes a shot into the bottom corner. Didn't try and smash it, just placed it. Perfection.

    West Brom 0-0 Swansea

It's been a promising 20 minutes for Swansea, as this graphic illustrates. They've dominated possession, but have only managed one shot on target so far. West Brom have been losing the ball far too easily.

    Man City 0-0 Watford

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Pep Guardiola has not only brought a unique style of football to the Premier League, he has also snubbed convention in his touchline attire.

Against Celtic last week, that meant a pretty striking pair of trainers.

No sign of them tonight. Just a rather sober pair of brown shoes.

He isn't really just trying to blend in is he?

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

Eric Bailly is back on (again) for Manchester United and bursts into the box. He looks up, tries to pull it back for Wayne Rooney but Yohan Cabaye intercepts and clears.

  6. RED CARD - Marko Arnautovicpublished at 20:23 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Stoke 0-0 Southampton

He can have few complaints - Stoke winger Marko Arnautovic is off for a rash, high challenge on Sofiane Boufal.

Manchester City forward Nolito has a shot saved by Heurelho Gomes. And from the corner he shanks a 20-yard effort miles wide.

Ap Sam: Zlatan or Rooney need to decide who drops back and who goes in the box. No one in 6 yard box for any sort of poaching.

Jeremiah Kariuki: Same script for Man United. Too much of all possession. No goals or shots on target to show off!

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Liverpool

Liverpool will move level with Arsenal in the table with a win tonight but they aren't having things all their own way, Middlesbrough holding their own but lacking much bite in the final third. Dejan Lovren makes a strong block when they do pull the trigger.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    West Ham 0-0 Burnley

West Ham have maybe their best chance yet as Pedro Obiang hits the outside of the woodwork from about 20 yards out. Burnley are hanging on a bit.

  11. Postpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Stoke 0-0 Southampton

Southampton are bossing the ball now, Ryan Bertrand has peppered the Stoke area with a few good crosses from the left but there's no Charlie Austin in there to profit.

Austin is out for three or four months with injury of course. Some January shopping to come?

  12. Postpublished at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly goes down again holding his left knee (not the one he injured a few weeks ago) after being caught late by Lee Chung-yong.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:20 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Sunderland 0-0 Chelsea

England's number one to come? Pedro is flagged offside as he collects a pass from Diego Costa but Jordan Pickford's save deserves an audience regardless. Pickford throws out his right hand and somehow turns it away from about five yards out! Sensational.

  14. Postpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Man City 0-0 Watford

Manchester City are having plenty of possession but Watford are well organised like a swarm of Hornets that the hosts cannot getting through.

    Tottenham 1-0 Hull

Hull are bottom of the table as it stands and they have offered little so far. Lift it!

  16. 'Surreal game'published at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Leicester striker at Selhurst Park, BBC Radio 5 live

This is a surreal game with a surreal atmosphere. Palace haven't ventured from their half at all.

We are just waiting for the game to open up and for them to show some intent.

  17. Postpublished at 20:18 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    West Ham 0-0 Burnley

West Ham dominating the stats with 72% possession. Michail Antonio has just had their sixth shot, but it's held by Tom Heaton. The Clarets are just willing away the last hour at the London Stadium.

  18. GREAT SAVE!published at 20:17 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Liverpool

Good response from the hosts as Viktor Fischer smashes in a shot on the run and forces Simon Mignolet into save at his near post. A test for the recalled keeper and one he passes. Strong wrists.

  19. Quiet start at Selhurstpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Man Utd

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Selhurst Park

Manchester United are dominating possession at Selhurst Park but all fairly dull so far.

They had one early scare when Eric Bailly went down clutching his knee but he is up and running again now and manager Jose Mourinho will be hoping that moment of trouble is behind him.

  20. Out of touchpublished at 20:16 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December 2016

    Crystal Palace 0-0 Manchester United

So Crystal Palace only had 14 touches of the ball in the opening 13 minutes of the first half, according to Opta.
