Steven Ill Words: Off his feet, stud showing, feet together. Clear dangerous tackle. Exactly what we don't want in the game. Deserves the red.

Phil Beck: Craig Pawson trying to atone for so many errors midweek by making more. Twelve wrongs make a right, apparently

Gamal: Been saying it for years... English refs are poor. Import some good ones from abroad please

    West Ham 0-0 Hull

How unlucky can you be? Hull so close to the opener as a cross from left is headed on by West Ham captain Mark Noble, it beats Darren Randolph for pace but thwacks away off his own post!

Almost an own goal to open the scoring.

    Stoke 2-0 Leicester

Great cross, great header, great save!

Jon Walters meets a fine ball in by Glen Johnson with a powerful header, it's up and towards the roof of the net but Kasper Schmeichel flies up to push it clear!

    Stoke 2-0 Leicester

If Leicester are able to snatch an unlikely point from here they will need Riyad Mahrez to spark - but all he can muster from a free-kick in a dangerous area is a shot well over the top.

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Swansea

Swansea are pressurising now. Angel Rangel pumps the ball across the box from the right but the waiting Mo Barrow can't get on the end of it.

With Sunderland winning, they really need to get back into this.

    West Ham 0-0 Hull

West Ham's double change has not brought about much difference on the pitch just yet, Hull threaten with a move down the left but Robert Snodgrass' shot is charged down.

Nice move from Sunderland and, potentially, a big goal in the relegation fight.

Thomas Ryan: Are people missing the point that Pawson was probably told he made a mistake in the week and has now made the correct decision?

Ben Gregory: I'm sorry Leicester fans, but apart from that debatable red all decisions have been fair. Players have lost their heads.

Stephengenockey: Having seen video of Vardy red card, how anyone thinks it isn't a red is beyond me

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2016

    Stoke 2-0 Leicester

A rusty Kasper Schmeichel flaps at a cross and Wes Morgan has to clear before Robert Huth is the next Leicester man in the book. Glen Johnson is booked as well.

Ref - You're gonna need a bigger book...

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Swansea

Swansea were sent out mega early by Bob Bradley for the second half. I'm never quite sure what that achieves, but hey ho.

Gylfi Sigurdsson kicks us off and the visitors try to squeeze forward immediately and earn a corner.

The Iceland international takes it, Victor Valdes punches away and Swansea have to start again.

  14. EFL round-uppublished at 16:03 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2016

Championship: None of the home sides are winning at the moment, with Preston, Newcastle, Barnsley and Wolves all leading away from home. Danny Graham has equalised for Blackburn against Reading and it is also 1-1 in the games between Fulham v Derby and Wigan v Ipswich.

League One: Bury have lost 11 league games in a row and they have twice led, but twice been pegged back by Oxford and it is 2-2 there. Paddy Madden and Hakeeb Adelakun have put league leaders Scunthorpe in charge as they are 2-0 up versus Millwall. It is another miserable day for Charlton fans as their side trail 1-0 at home to Peterborough. Lowly Chesterfield are 1-0 ahead versus third-placed Bolton, with Southend and Shrewsbury 1-0 up against Oldham and Bristol Rovers respectively.

League Two: It is a long, long way from Yeovil to Carlisle and the away fans will not be too impressed as Carlisle lead 2-0. If results stay the same, Carlisle will go top as current leaders Plymouth are only drawing 0-0 at Accrington. Elsewhere, Stevenage, Luton, Exeter and Morecambe are all winning and Doncaster beat Grimsby 1-0 in an early kick-off.

Pawson has got to get control of the game.

He lost it with the Vardy incident and the penalty was debatable.

    I wouldn't have given it.
