In fairness, I'm not a ref nor have I studied the laws of the game. However I simply can't understand the inconsistency between Rojo and Vardy, inconsistency is more frustrating than anything where refs are concerned!

Chris: Craig Pawson following up his abysmal reffing at Palace midweek in emphatic style so far... he might be "unbusy" next gameweek

Jon Evans: The problem with the Simpson handball is that the rule states 'intentional'. Doesn't matter where the hand is.

Taz Bartowski: Talk about a referee wanting to steal the show...

  3. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2016

    Stoke 2-0 Leicester

Referee Craig Pawson is surrounded by Leicester players and manager Claudio Ranieri. The man who normally resembles everyone's favourite jolly uncle is fuming and has to be dragged away by his own goalkeeper.

Leicester had Jamie Vardy sent-off, conceded from a penalty and a free-kick and had five men booked, including four in the last two minutes of the half.

Swansea defender Alfie Mawson's just got a boot to the head. Ouch.

He's back on, though, not looking too dazed as we head into injury time.

GOAL - Stoke 2-0 Leicesterpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2016

    Joe Allen (45 mins)

Everything is going against Leicester today - that's certainly how their fans and Claudio Ranieri will feel.

From the free-kick, Gianelli Imbula rattles a low shot against the base of the post, it hits the hapless Kasper Schmeichel on the back of the head and drops for Joe Allen, who has a tap-in.

Cards, cards, cards! Every foul is a booking for Leicester. Add Christian Fuchs and Marc Albrighton to the growing list.

    That's four in two minutes!

    Sunderland 0-0 Watford

A bit of aggro at the Stadium of Light.

Victor Anichebe tangles with Christian Kabasele, who came on for Sebastian Prodl earlier on, and Kabasele is claiming he was hit in the face by the Sunderland forward.

The referee interjects and waves away the players. No cards given.

  11. CLOSE!published at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2016

    West Ham 0-0 Hull

What's he doing up there?! Harry Maguire finds himself as an emergency centre-forward for Hull, if he takes a sure touch he's clean through but the ball gets away from him, but Pedro Obiang's tackle almost turns into an own goal but spins just wide!

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Swansea

Swansea's Alfie Mawson rises high to a long-range free-kick that's whipped into the box but the referee blows up for some more pushing.

Then Mo Barrow sends a lovely ball in with his left foot but Fernando Llorente isn't able to get on the end of it. Swansea have a bit of control back now.

    West Ham 0-0 Hull

Jake Livermore had a load of chances in midweek at White Hart Lane and the Hull man shoots wide again from the edge of the box. Hull look a good outfit - until they can see the goal.

Patrick Ikhena: Enough is enough, there needs to a fundamental reform of refs and/or they need to come out and justify their decisions

Paul O'Brien: Disgusting from Vardy. You'd never see a Man United player doing that. Should get a ban as well

Steve Harwood: Dion Dublin's wrong, doesn't matter if he had no intention, he made the tackle and badly! 2footed and 2ft high!

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Swansea

There's a tumble in the box. Jay Fulton and Antonio Barragan go to ground in a weird sort of bear hug, and referee Neil Swarbrick decides it's Swansea's Fulton who's in the wrong.

    Pat Nevin
Ex-Chelsea winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Simpson's gone to ground and his hands went so far above his head - that's an impossible one for the referee to say no to.

The goal is harsh on Leicester. Even after the sending-off the Foxes were looking OK. All the questions will now have to be answered by Claudio Ranieri.
