    Bojan (Pen 39 mins)

A stuttering run-up from Bojan, Kasper Schmeichel is about four yards off his line but the Spaniard keeps cool and slots into the corner. Stoke lead.

    Stoke 0-0 Leicester

Referee Craig Pawson may not be on Leicester's Christmas card list but I don't think the Foxes can have too many complaints here as Danny Simpson handles Bojan's cross.

    Sunderland 0-0 Watford

Patrick van Aanholt is ready to take a Sunderland free-kick on the left flank and rather than sending it looping over, he rolls it forward to the edge of the box but soon Watford clear it away.

    West Ham 0-0 Hull

Dieumerci Mbokani does really well again to tame a long ball forwards, bringing it down on his chest and shooting high and wide on the spin. A really difficult chance, but a half chance nonetheless,

Jamie Vardy's sending off is the talking point of the afternoon to date. A goal or two wouldn't hurt.

Craig Pawson has fundamentally misunderstood what has gone on.

Vardy left the ground with two feet but he has done that in order to get to the ball.

He won the ball and Diouf gets out of the way. Vardy makes no contact. He has been anything but reckless.

Referees are making big decisions with the little teams because it seems to be easier.

Waithelaz: That's a blatant red card for Vardy

Wale ibraheem: The ref got that awfully wrong! Yellow at most. But then, what was Vardy doing lunging in like that?

David Simpson: How can Vardy be sent off for that, and Rojo not get sent for either of his two appalling challenges in the last couple games?

    Middlesbrough 2-0 Swansea

Mo Barrow neatly slots the ball home for Swansea but he's already been blown for offside so goalkeeper Victor Valdes just watches it trickle past him.

Bob Bradley looks deep in thought as he ponders how to get his team out of this situation.

You do realise there will be a long discussion on Match of the Day whether that was a sending-off?

When he goes with his two feet - they were off the ground - he didn't seem to hurt Diouf but that didn't matter in the referee's eyes.

I wouldn't have quibbled had they shown Vardy a yellow.

    Rubbish.

The referee has got that completely wrong.

Vardy makes the tackle. He has no intention of making the tackle with two feet at all. It is 100% wrong.

Championship: Leaders Newcastle took the lead at Burton through Dwight Gayle's 17th goal of the season, before the hosts equalised shortly after with a goal from Lloyd Dyer (pictured).

Brett Pitman's penalty has given Ipswich a 1-0 lead at Wigan, Simon Makienok has put Preston ahead at Bristol City, while it is 1-1 at Cardiff. Sean Morrison put the Welsh side ahead, but Sam Winnall headed in an equaliser for Barnsley.

    Sunderland 0-0 Watford

Watford win a free-kick on their right side and Miguel Britos has a great chance as he jumps highest at the far post but glances a header wide from two yards. Close.

  18. RED CARD - Jamie Vardypublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 17 December 2016

    Stoke 0-0 Leicester

Jamie Vardy has got Christmas at home with the family, but not in the way he would have wanted.

The England man is shown a straight red card, and this is a major talking point. Yes, he leaves the ground and jumps into a tackle. But no, it is not two footed and yes, he wins the ball.

No, it is nowhere near as bad as either of Marcos Rojo's recent challenges.

Luckily for Swansea, it lands in the hands of Lukasz Fabianski.

That is indicative of West Ham in this stadium.

It is a nervous West Ham, they're on edge.

I don't know what Slaven Bilic is going to do about this. He has to tell them to get the ball down and play.
