Of course, things could be a lot, lot worse for Chelsea. This is how it stands in the Premier League at the moment, with Conte's side five points clear at the top.

Second-placed Liverpool play at Manchester United tomorrow and Tottenham will move up to second if they beat West Brom. If Spurs slip-up, then Arsenal could end the day in second if they claim a big win at Swansea.

    Costa to China?

    Jermaine Jenas
Former England midfielder on 5 live

When these situations arise the players are probably thinking they’ll go and do two years and then come back and play in the Premier League. Financially, they’re not just supporting their immediate family, they are supporting their whole family…aunts, uncles and cousins.

I’d still give Chelsea a good chance [of winning title] if they lost him. With the lead they now have I think they can cope without Costa if they spend the money and replace him.

Everything has been smooth sailing for Chelsea up to now. Imagine the faces of Jose Mourinho, Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino. This is what they have been waiting for. Another bid from the Chinese market seems to be rocking the boat of another top club. It’s a huge problem.

Diego Costa's antics also lead the way in the Daily Mail.

Their back page also has another story about Chelsea, as the club had to pay former manager Jose Mourinho £8.3m in compensation when they sacked him in December 2015 and £23m to Mourinho and his staff when he was dismissed first time around in 2007.

The news comes amid reports he is the subject of an offer to move to China that would be worth £30m a year., external Costa, 28, has scored 14 goals and provided five assists this season.
